Had my op on Wednesday. I’m in so much pain my left side is worse and keep getting twinges under my right nipple has any one else had this ?
Tablets don’t seem to be easing the pain 🙁
can’t seem to move my arms very good either 🙁 but other than that my op went well just wondering if anyone else is in so much pain and what they have done for it ? Xx
Hey hun if you’ve taken all your tablets then I would suggest an ice pack wrapped in a tea towel, they completely took my pain away xx
@nicoletapper hi hun, I had my op on Wednesday too and I can barely move with the pain too its to be expected so don’t worry. What size cc did you get? I’ve added you hope u don’t mind? Xx
no i dont mind at all @lisamaria I had 350cc from an 32 A/B, its just frustrating isnt it not being able to move, cause im such a busy person, hate not being able to move, wondering how to tackle washing my hair too, as ive been waking up through the night roasting hot i need to wash my hair 😐 going to be a challenge for my boyfriend.
@ellieberry yes taken all my tablets :(, i think i may have to try an ice pack, the nurse has rang this morning and suggested that also, did u have pain too? xx
Hey, yeah I was in pain around day 2-3 post op, and my boobs were so hot and swollen, so the ice packs really really helped (I actually used frozen peas so they were softer than a hard ice block lol) xx
@nicoletapper It is hard hun. I have my partner looking after me too. I have not even thought of washing my hair lol! I’m dreading having to leave the house on Wednesday for nurse appointment looking like this haha xxx
Regarding washing your hair I managed to wash mine 2 days post op by leaning slightly over the bath and my mum washed if for me, the water went everywhere because I was more stood up than bent over, but it was totally worth it, made me feel a lot better xx
@ellieberry im going to have to put something cool on them!!
oh really i was thinking putting a bin bag over my strapping haha i need to do it i feel dreadful, i know @lisamaria i cant leave the house looking like this haha, my appointment is on monday so a little early but have been advised its okay to have the strapping removed on monday, i cant wait!! driving me mad already aha
thanks girls, makes me feel better, knowing the pain is normal :D, xx
Lol! My strapping has velcro and keeps coming undone so have to keep adjusting it. Xx
Hi Nicole, just wanted to say that I had my op on Monday and was in so much pain the first three days, it was horrendous! I was in tears yesterday morning (day 3 post op) with the pain & frustration of not being able to do anything (I too hate not being busy!) – but by the afternoon the pain had lessened & I even managed to dress myself & get a taxi to town for a coffee! My hair was a total mess but hey I was happy to be outside! It was a massive turnaround, I couldn’t believe it as I had thought that morning “what have I done to myself?!” I have now started to reduce my meds & today (day 4) I’ve managed a 20 minute walk & things are getting much easier – I think keeping moving (a little at a time) really helps me. Definitely listen to your body – if you’re moving too much you’ll know! I hope that the pain starts easing quickly like it has for me. My right boob hurts & twinges a lot more than the left but I have a couple of friends who have had BAs who say this is completely normal. Hope you feel better soon! L x
Was the same hun, u will feel so much better by day 5 xx
Hey Hun, I’ve had my op on Tuesday and I promise you will feel better tomorrow. The first 3 days are the hardest.
I am very excited as my mum will be washing my hair today and I’m going to attempt to put some makeup on. The pain was quite bad for me too, I think I underestimated the op a little bit. Just keep on top of your meds, drink lots of fluids and rest xx
awwh thanks girls, i cant wait for the first week to be over, i definitely underestimated the op! @sabinaellingham
@lauren1234 thanks that made me feel better knowing i’m not alone with this! xx
