Morning, this is actually my first post. After reading and gaining quite a lot of knowledge and comfort from you guys, I’ve popped up now at post op day 2 of 400cc unders.
I wanted to say I’ve had a really bad night, the pain this morning phew- before the meds was strong! I feel like i’ve been run over! In my mind I didnt think I’d have much pain, or knowing Im not bad with pain I thought ‘oh it won;t be so bad’…mm, well it kind of is! for me at least.
I would love some feedback from any other under op girls felt well enough after a week to go back to work? I am self employed and have a full diary of clients after 26th Sept, at the moment, I’m gritting my teeth at the thought! what would you say? xx
I’m on post op day 4 now, and I’m starting to feel like there’s light at the end of the tunnel!! I think day 3 was the worst for me. They say you should be able to return to work (light duties) after a week so you should be fine, I think I’ll be feeling a lot better when I’m at the week mark as today is feeling a lot easier xx
So glad to hear your experience Serene, thank you 🙂 gives me something to look forward to! I just read some girls having little pain, and imagined I’d be one of them!! always a positive thinker ha ha. I do think mind set has a lot to do with the healing also. So far taking it very easy, in and out of bed. Good luck to you! xx
I think it depends what you do, personally! I’m self employed too – I havent had my op yet, but my PC suggested 2 weeks off for me as I’m a makeup artist I have my arm up a lot when working. What is it that you do?x
Ahh right Alice, understood. I’m a permanent make up artist/tattooist…so it’s not exactly physically taxing although it is intensive. I work from my home treatment room so no machinery to move, I just do long day’s, I hoping my energy levels can cut it!! that’s what I’m worried about. Have you heard of anything body/energy building to take or drink?!? xx
Right I see, also I guess with something as permanent as that I guess you need to be very alert!! I’d listen to your body, I’m sure your clients would rather that if you weren’t feeling up to it? Could you start back slowly?
How glam do you look in that after photo?!!
Yes, you’re right, and I am concerned. I actually can’t start back slowly, people wait for months for my treatments and I do 6 day weeks. I am going to spend this week resting like nobodies business!! I’ll keep you posted on my progress out of interest.
That’s my permanent eyeliner/shadow, eyebrows and lip contour that’s making me look glam post surgery! perfect for times like these!!
