Hi,
I know I am more than likely over thinking this, however, I had my BA two days ago at Preston first trust by Mr Mahdi (who was fantastic by the way). But I am noticing I am feeling much more pain in my right breast than my left, it seems slightly more swollen and when I stand after being lay down (propped up) it is much more painful than the left and feels like a burning sensation. As far as I’m aware nothing different was done on my right breast than my left and just wanted to know if anyone else has experience more discomfort in one breast? Thanks 🙂
Hi, I had my BA on Monday and feel the same way as you. My dominant arm is my left and that boob is the most sore. Getting sharp pains in the incision and more tingling/strange sensations in the left. I think it’s pretty normal though, I’ve got my 1 week check up tomorrow. X
Hi, I had my BA on the 14th dec, my right breast which had the bigger implant in had more visible bruises and swelling but I asked about this at my appointment yesterday and it’s completely normal, usually one side is tougher to work with (mine cause it was the bigger implant side) took more work to get in hence more pain x
I had my BA 3 days ago today and feeling the same! My left side is so much more painful! Also, I am sooooo bloated! My tummy is hard and so round, I’ve read up on bloating after surgery and it’s normal, anyone else experiencing this?! Xx
Hey yeah I’m exactly the same aswell my right boob is really hard and sore compared to my left, I thought it was bevause I was using my right hand more (I’m right handed) x
My left side and left arm are so much more painful! Especially after I sit down… when I sit down then get up again it hurts so much more… anyone the same? This isn’t a glamorous stage of it girls ? wish my tummy would go down. ?? xx
I am also hugely bloated! I think this is normal after being under anaesthetic I honestly look about 6 month pregnant and it’s so uncomfortable! X
I literally just said I look 6 months pregnant to my boyfriend ? I am so bloated ! I dont fit in any of my clothes!!!! X
My right boob (the more painful one) literally feels like it’s sitting under my armpit? Anyone else feel like this? I’m starting to feel worried now?
Hiya girls! I’m currently 9 days post op (my op was 13th December) and can completely relate to this whole post! For the first 4ish days, my left boob was so much more painful, tighter and numb than my right. After about 5/6 days that changed and my right was then more painful. And as of yesterday neither is overly painful anymore! Just weird sensations more than anything.
In relation to the bloating, I was so so uncomfortably bloated. I found that this kinda got worse before it got better, as i was constipated from all the medications and therefore the more food I ate, the bigger my tummy got! As soon as I came off the cocodamol, i was less constipated shall we say, and since then my tummy has gone down more each day.
Hope this is slightly reassuring as everything you’re feeling, I’ve felt and it has not gotten much better! Xx
Thanks Chloe Jade- it’s very reassuring! It’s worrying when the pain is on the left side and more than the other one! Really wasn’t expecting the bloating so it’s been a real shock see my whole body change, even my legs in just a few days. I do hope my tummy goes flat again ? thanks for your help! Xx
Ah thank you chloe this is making me feel a bit better! I’m just worried Incase there’s something wrong inside. After I’ve been lying down and I go to get up I stand up then there’s a delayed pain in my right breast and the whole thing just goes hot for a moment! X
Hi,
I had my BA on Friday and I’m feeling the same the right one is much more painful keep getting like a burning pain. The breast band is so tight!! . Does anyone else have a band on?
I was hoping to be feeling more normal by now but today they feel quite tender and bruised. They are also still pointy and high up.
Surely this is normal then if you got your op the same day as me and are in the same stage of pain! I’ve been on the phone to the on call doctor and he said not to worry and that it’s very early stages of healing and just to rest. I don’t have a band what is that for? As for the pointy boobs and being high up don’t worry! Completely normal and probably will be like that for a while unfortunately xx

I saw the surgeon the day after my op and he said the pain was normal, also seeing him again later so will ask When it should start easing. The band is to push the implants down it’s so tight though and uncomfortable. Did you have unders or overs? I had 425cc HP unders.
My pain is fine when I’m sat down but as soon as I get up and start walking around it starts. Xx
Hi Kylie, yeah I had a breast band on as well. I had to wear it for 1 week and to be honest that caused more pain with it on than off! I’m sure it helps in the long run though x
