Hey girls, I only had my op on friday and I am so bloated, I look pregnant. Is it to early to change my meds to paracetomal and ibuprofen? Everyone says day 3 and 4 is the worst though so shall I stick out with the co-drdramol? any advice will be much appreciated xx

It must be the painkillers they gave us in the op then that make us bloated? I think i will stick them out a bit longer then. Thanx x

I didn’t take the painkillers they gave me. I took paracetomol etc but I’m rubbish with painkillers normally. My tummy still stayed bloated. I’m 12 weeks post op and using that excuse for my flabby tummy lol 🙂 I think people stop taking them if they make them sick, but if its just bloating ride it out and the bloating will go xxx

I was bloated till about 2 weeks but feel like its near enough back to normal now (at 2 1/2 week) I preferred to ride the bloating out as I felt I needed the painkillers, if you feel u would be alright with just para then go for that. I deffo needed the ones they gave me though lol, xx

I also had my op on Friday and so bloated, rocking the pregnant look :/ I’m on codeine and paracetamol, I think it’s probs the general anesthetic and morphine they give u when in hospital that is making us bloated, keep telling myself it will all be worth it 🙂 hope your both feeling ok the bloating aside xxx

Thanx girls. I think I will have to rock the pregnant look too. Its so annoying cos u can’t tell what ur boobs will actually look like until the belly goes down. I tried eating lots of apples too which I read might help. Nothing yet.xx
