Painkillers

Did anyone stop taking the prescribed painkillers and just take normal paracetemol, I can’t stand the constipation and would rather take normal painkillers, thanks x

Yeah I just took paracetamol and ibuprofen after a couple of days, the codeine used to make me feel funny :-/

Im 3 days post op and They make me feel tired which is no good cause I’ve got to look after my children and they making me feel sick and constipated, will stop taking them and just take paracetemol then, thank you x

I gave up on the codeine after about day 4 or 5 because I couldn’t stand the constipation any longer. The pain wasn’t bad enough to warrant the discomfort lol x

Do laxatives not work? Xxx

I literally only took the painkillers on day 2 po in the evening apart from that I just took nuerofen but mine was more ache from being uncomfortable with the strapping ! Happy healing 🙂 x

I’ve not took any painkillers today so hopefully the side effects from the codeine will settle down now x

I had my op
And started taking small doses of laxatives the day after x

I took paracetamol & ibuprofen everyday. Anything else made me sick!! And heaving when you have a sore chest hurts like hell lol xx

I been taking them for about 4-5 days and can’t stand the constipation either! Plus they been making me feel so drowsy, tired and a little queezy! Defo won’t be taking them anymore and probs switch to neurofen seen as my aches are more discomfort feelings rather actual pain.
