My procedure is booked in and I need to pay. I would like to pay by credit card as God forbid if there was any problems I have been advised by friends and colleagues (I work for a Solicitors) that I can claim under Section 75 of the Goods Act. The only problem I have is that MYA state they will only accept a bank transfer which credit card companies do not do. Has anybody else had this problem? Thanks ladies x
I have paid by CC – directly no bank transfer. Think they charged a % for the priviledge.
Thanks Sally. I wonder why they are saying they can’t take payment at the clinic… very odd. I am going there today so will speak with her.
I’m paying mine off weekly and ring them and they take payment over the phone off me so wonder t they saying that xx
Yh i paid by cc and paid 1.7% on top
Thanks ladies. I have e-mailed her back saying that “friends have had the procedure done and paid by credit card”. It is all very strange. All I want to do is get it paid?!?!
I have received a reply from MYA stating that they are now able to take payment by credit card… I am happily paying for my op in full today!!
I paid by CC for mine just had a 1.7% charge for doing so.
Meggies S. 75 Consumer Credit Act, if you pay by cc your contract with mya is breached and you can’t recover money from them you can potentially make a claim through the credit card company to get your money back, if I buy anything on the internet over 100 I always use credit card for this reason. x x
Hi Meggies – My friend unfortunately had her first set removed due to them being PIP and claimed back the full amount and unfortunately her second set were faulty and she also claimed back that amount due to both being paid by credit card. I just think its a bit of security. This link may be helpful for you http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/section-75-of-the-consumer-credit-act/ I have now paid for mine using a credit card. xx
did it cover the whole cost of surgery??? thanks for the link Emma ill have a read now 😀 xx
For my friend it did. She received £4,500 the first time and the second time round because it was removing and replacing she got back £6,000. I hope the link helps. xx
