Hi

Does anyone else’s PC take ages to reply to text messages? As in like days and have to send a prompt to get a reply?

Worries me what it will be like after I’ve had my op if I need any advice

Yes mine was awful to start with it seemed I had lots of contact then when I had paid the deposit it was impossible to get through to her which didn’t fill me with much confidence! Since I had my op last Friday, she has messaged me and I have an appointment in Thursday with the nurse so I think there more on the call after! Just keep calling the place that’s what I kept doing and eventually I’d get a call back to someone else to deal with it. X

Who you with hun? Ria at Notts is amazing!! Carnt do enough for me! She even messaged me before meeting my consultant to wish me look, and asked me to call her straight after to make sure I was ok and happy etc even that is was 6 in the evening ! Think she was more excited for me than I was lol!! Maybe request a different PC! Xxx

from my experience and 34 others who i am in a whats app group with , do not expect anything at all from your PC after money is taken. No phone call on the day, none after. My view is they are there merely to pretend to support you until they get the cash. Then they move on to the next. any aftercare advice is all done through the nurse mainly. They can not be faulted.

My PC Natasha was amazing! Took her a while to respond to text, but she texted me the day before my op and the day after to make sure i was ok and everything was healing. It looks like its hit and miss depending on clinics

Ria was amazing and did the same with me ringing after my surgeon consultation etc but I have since had a message saying my PC has changed and I sent a message asking a question last Thursday and not had a reply and so I sent another last night but still not heard back today so getting a bit worried. Ria did say I could contact her any time still but I feel bad keep messaging her if she isn’t my PC anymore x

Hi guys… i had gemma from manchester and sges been lovely, im 12 werks and if i messaged her tomorrow she would get back straight away, think some are just better at their jobs than others

Mine was great leading up to my op but now isn’t returning my message and that’s disappointing really.

To be honest mine was rubbish the whole way through. Never really able to get hold of her. Even struggled to get in touch when I just wanted to pay a deposit haha. But it’s not ruined my experience. She was lovely when I did meet with her and my nurse is always available post op or calls me back and has been fab. The PC is ultimately just a sales person in my eyes and if your an easy sale like I suppose I was, they don’t feel the need to put much effort in. I would always just ring and ask to speak to a nurse. Especially post op. The PCs are qualified to advise you on most stuff anyway.

I completely agree with Grainne, in my eyes my pc was just a sales person and I was the easy sale. After seeing how much support other girls were getting from theirs I was really disappointed when after my pre op I literally did not hear a thing from her, 11 weeks post op now and still nothing l. Even straight after my surgery I didn’t even get a message or a call to even see if I was ok or how it went! I called her a couple of weeks ago because I had a quick question and she had no idea who I was and started talking to me about another girl thinking I was her… Every time I have called I have asked for the nurse (Joanna) who has been absolutely amazing and has called a few times checking in

i have since had text from my pc, about my *negative post* on here. Funny how i get a text from her straight away now isn’t it. Did not hear a thing from her since paying the money. Please note girls…. by reading this it seems not all are bad, i have heard some girls got phone calls on the day of their surgery and after and also a week after to see how they were getting on. Which is lovely. It just seems not all are the same. Me personally didn’t find it a good experience. However my overall experience with the surgeon, nurse, and hospital can not be faulted.

Yes you cant fault the nurses, They are great. If ever i email mine she calls me straight away.

Such a shame that so many girls are having negative experiences with their PC, luckily I had Natalie from Manchester who was great. Maybe you can request a different PC and hopefully get a better one? And I agree about the nurses, my nurse has been fab too! Xx

Ria also text me after this post just to check I was okay, I explained it wasn’t aimed at her though and just got a bit worried when my Pc changed. I never even thought our PCs would read the Forum lol but oh well at least it’s helped the issue get addressed 🙂 all the staff I have met so far have been amazing and whilst I appreciate it may take a few days to get a reply, it’s been a week tomorrow since I text and I think this is a major thing and you want to feel like your PC is there.
My main concerns aren’t just now but if anything happens after the op, we need to know someone will be there to pick up the phone or text back, but like you say the nurses will be there 🙂

Aww girls I wouldn’t worry much about your pcs there sales and there to get a sale so long as your happy with your sugoen and nurse it doesn’t matter my pc wasn’t the best T replying to me or didn’t ring and text after sugury but I’m ok with that it doesn’t bother me mya have been amazing with me regardless and I can’t fault my aftercare either xxx

Yeah I agree but I just found it really useful having another point of contact with the PC as they are highly trained and also know their stuff about the whole process and for me being Pre surgery I don’t have a nurse or anything to ask my questions to just yet so just get a bit worried when I don’t get a response after a few days have passed, silly as it may sound! But this is a massive thing and it’s nice to have people to talk to and ask questions xxx

Yes the pc are terrible at keeping in touch, returning calls, messaging… prior and after cash was paid.

Aww Hannah I totally under stand this form is a godsend tho Hun if your pc doesn’t reply post your concerns on here I’m sure one of us could help you xxx
