Can I still have my op if im on my period? ?? Op is in two days???

If you read the literature it does say to advise them if you r on your period xx I’d ring the nurse to see what she says xx

I’m not 100% sure but I think ur ok you just can’t wear a tampon

I came on my period the day before my op. When the nurse rang me to check everything was ok for my op I mentioned it to her and she said it was fine and just to let them know when I arrived. I let the nurse know when she was filling in my paperwork when I got to my room and she just said to make sure I changed my tampon just before I went down to theatre. I was worried that I might flood as I’m usually quite heavy but all was fine xx

You’ll be fine I was on mine and I just let the nurse no, wasn’t a problem at all I wasn’t on heavy or anything though and tbh since my op Iv kinda like gone off think it might be the meds? Xx

I was on mine and wore tampon, nurse said was fine x

So glad you asked as I was worrying about the same thing. Booked my op the other day and then had a panic cos I’m so irregular x
