Periods (i know gross)

Im getting a BA with Dr Adamo, this is my first one and i cant wait!!! :bigsmile: !!! i dont know the time of mine yet i think i will find out on my Pro Op on monday.

Im a 34C and im getting 525cc over and he said that will make me roughly a FF/G!! i cant wait to wake up and i wornt be able to stop looking at them ha!

sorry this is kind of late and youve stoped talking about it.. i dont take the pill but ive got an implant in my arm that releases the same hormones as the pill for contraception.. its ment to be in for 3 years do you think i will have to have it taken out before the surgery?

Yes no deodorant, fake tan,mosituriser,false nails, toe polish…….oh no !!
I can live for a week or so without this but deodorant…yes kasia..Nasty!!hehe

The bath is no problem as long as its shallow, just use a flannel over the dressings!!! Or the shower but you will have to take the shower head and just have a quick rinse!!!

I’ve read you can’t use a deodorant on your surgery day! Nasty! hehehe

I would imaging it would just be your breast area of the stitches and bandages that you cant get wet.

the only thing i am thinking about though is the fact that you cant bath or shower for a week after thats just going to be nasty if you are on your period

I forgot to ask about my nails!!! do i really have to take them off 🙁 im guna feel naked! ha!

I can only get 1 week off work so im hoping that will be enough?! i dont do any lefting just mostly typing so my arms wornt really leave my sides other than for my cuppa ha.

I wish it could come sooner!!!!!!!!!

When I had my first op 10 years ago I remember when I woke up it was fantastic.
You know when you go to the gym, and pull a muscle in your chest it feels like that when you wake up. It also feels like an elephant is sitting on your chest…joking well not an elephant but it feels heavy!!!
I remember not being able to put my key in my car door for a week and my mum brushing my teeth as I couldnt lift my arms. Mind you I was spaced out for a week on pain killers so didnt feel any pain too much. I had my pro op last week and the nurse said MYA would be in touch with the hospital time.

Ive now had all my false nails taken off and stopped smoking (well trying!!)

Just wondering ladies if anybody else has had this situation.
My op is start of june but i come on period that week its on the monday and im usually clockwork and come on, on the wednesday.
What should i do?
i currently take the pill and have read if i dont do my seven day break and carry on taking it then i will skip the period?
any help

Mine is a re – augmentation with Mr Singh, Im not sure what time yet but think it will be later in the afternoon on the 3rd. Im having 615cc or 700cc. I Was a 32a with my first op im now a 34c/32d depending on the bra. Im not sure what size i will be when I wake up . Ive bought 32f sports bras. I cant wait its one operation that when you wake up its ”WOW”!!!!!! HaHa

My op is with Mya London on 3rd June….Guess what I will be on my period too!!! I am not on the pill but was advised by the nurse not to wear a tampon during the operation just a panty liner. It is not recommended to take the pill before the operation so I would just wear a sanitary pad. Emmaxxx

so what should i do then i am only on about 5th pill so if i stop this monday and have my period that week what do i do after carry on taking it or not. and if i dont carry on taking it when should i start taking it again
also i went to have my pre op with the nurse on tuesday just gone and she said that i can carry on taking mine and all that she advises is that i dont take it in the morning but i take it in the evening anyway!
the only thing i can think of is that it depends on what pill you are on i am the standard microgynon 30?

the only thing i can think off that you might be able to do is stop taken the pill now and have your break early coz after your BA they put you on Antibiotics after to stop the risk of any infections and antibiotics cancel the pill out anyway!

What im doing is stopping it on monday, 2weeks before my BA to have my break and then go back on it after i have finnished taken the antibiotics so its kinda guna be like having a natural month off, coz the pill wornt work when your antibiotics anyway. I know that as i have worked on a Ante natal clinic.

that’s a small problem as I don’t trust condoms (have a baby after using them!). That’s not good:(((

mines in 3weeks to!!! i cant wait the time is finaly here! ha. Im going to stop taken mine on monday, its getting so close now :bigsmile: :bigsmile: :bigsmile:

When i had my consultation with Dr Adamo he advised to stop taken the pill 2weeks befor your op as the pill thin’s your blood and may casue problems! i have my BA on the 3rd june and i cant wait! iv got my pre op on monday and im gune stop taken my pill from then. i hope this helps.

don’t make a break and you won’t have a period

Yes if you dont have your break then you will skip your period, iv done it a few time for holidays etc…
