Person question… Would they still operate if your on your period on the day?

I know this is a super person question but I’m just worrying as its getting closer that I may be on my period on the day of my procedure. Has anyone been on for there’s? I have asked my nurse in MYA Birmingham and she said just use a towel rather than a tampon on the day but she can’t see a problem. I’m just stressing out. Can anyone help? Xxx

Ah I was on my period on the day and had a tampon in….It didn’t seem to be an issue so I wouldn’t worry 🙂 xx

I was also in mine on my op day and used a pad its not nice but will be fine 🙂 x

Asked my nurse this at my pre op. its no problem just need to wear a pad rather than tampon.. 🙂 x

No it’s fine!! As my surgery date was around the same time I’m due on the nurse said it was ok x

Do any of you know how long before op day you have to stop taki the pill? I can’t find the sheet with it on :/ xx

Im pretty sure its two weeks before and two weeks after? I can’t remember myself actually, sorry chick xxxx

It’s 4weeks before then 2 weeks after you can’t take it xx
