I am about to get a piercing tomorrow but have my op 18th December – just wondering whether it will have to be taken out for surgery or whether they can put tape over? As really it takes about six months to heal! Xx

I don’t know the answer but I can’t get either tragus bar or scaffold out so it’ll have to be tape.
its my lashes I’m worried about haha.xx

Hey. I have a tragus one side and triple forward helix on both sides and they let me tape them up. Everything else had to come out though. Hope this helps hun xx

Hi Emily, Mr Mounir said to me I can keep my ears and belly in and he’d tape over them but need to remove my nipple 2 weeks before. However, Mr Traynor said to me I could keep them in (not the nip) if I replaced them with plastic. (Saw them both for a consultation), I do think they should be removed as I read something about being under anaesthetic and metal…?

    xx

I had Dr Traynor too @Taya and he wasn’t bothered it was the anaesthetist that made me take them out xx
