PIP implant replacement before children? Started by: Danielle

    Hi all,

I am getting myself into a bit of a panic and wanted some advice please.
I had breast implants around 10 years ago (I am now 30), unfortunately they are PIP implants so I have been saving to have them replaced and I am now in a position to do so.

However I recently got married and we are looking to start a family as soon as possible and now I don’t know whether I should wait until after I have had a family? It worries me though, that I could have these implants in for another 5 or so years. One of them is giving me issues and feels like it has folded (last time I had them checked there had been no ruptures though).

I know that with pregnancy your body can change a lot so if I have the implants replaced before then I know it is highly likely that I will still need further surgery again after children (i.e an uplift) and obviously I would rather not have surgery any more times than necessary.
Also I don’t know how long after surgery it would be safe to start trying for children if I did go down that route. Or should I have one child first and see how my body changes first?

Has anyone else been in a similar situation or have any advice for me?

I appreciate your help, thanks! xx
