Pip implants that need removing ?

Hi I’m new here,
I’ve had implants in for the last ten years, had them done when I was 19 and I found out they were pips when the scandal came out so I’ve been wanting to do something about them for a while now.
I was just wondering if anybody has had pip implants removed and replaced and also to how the recovery is for subsequent operations as I have young kids who rely on me a lot, youngest is 7 months and I remember not being able to do much for 6 weeks last time X

Hi lovely. I don’t know much about removal of the implants but regards children im sure youl be absolutely fine. I had my op when my baby was only just tuning 6 months. I was pretty much useless for around a week so she stayed with my parents but aslong as you rest up I’m sure youl be okay. It’s strange at first lifting them etc but I was always told just make sure you’re sat down if you’re holding them! Pushing the pram was also really strange but it soon settled down 🙂 good luck for your re op Xxxx

My sister had her pip implants removed and replaced about 4 years ago. She felt recovery was quicker and less painful for her re-op than from her original Ba. She thinks it might be because the skin had already stretched and the implant pocket was already formed. She only needed painkillers for the first few days and was driving within a week.
She makes me feel like a wimp because I’m still complaining of pain 3 weeks after my first Ba !
It may be more painful if you increase the implant size significantly or change the position of implants from overs to unders. I guess the surgeons will advise you on this.

Thanks for replying. That’s good knowing I should be ok after a week or so with my boys. I’ve been rather worried how il cope, my sister said she would come up and stay, my parents can come and help too then my husband will be there for the evenings so I’m hoping all will be ok.
Il keep that in mind about sitting down if I am holding them Aimee.
I hope my recovery is the same as your sisters Helen. I was hoping as they have already stretched it’l be less painful having it redone. I had them under the muscle and I’m guessing il have them under the muscle again as I had pretty much no boobs to start with and very little breast tissue, I have a bit of rippling at the sides too now so don’t know if that means I’d have to go smaller, I really hope not! I hope you start feeling better soon, it took me a while to get back to normal. X
