places to stay in London when going with fitzroy??

i am having my op 9th may and was wondering if anyone has booked a hotel and could recommend a good one? we were planning to travel up the night before and stay in London overnight so it’s not a 5/6 hour journey the day of my op x

how did you find travelling the day after op? i live 2 hours from london and am really worried i’ll have an unbearable coach jounrey back.
