Please look..

Post op girls please have a look at the picture I’ve just uploaded, please tell me if I’m being paranoid but I feel like my incision has opened a little??xx

I dont think it looks open hun but its hard to tell the ends tend to look wider for some reason i think its where the stitching knot is.. but if ur really concerned call the nurse and send a pic over to her she will know best xx

Just got through.. I’ve basically gotta wait for my 6week check on Tuesday.. It’s frustrating cos she hasn’t even looked at it and just said put a dressing on and don’t shower.. I don’t know if it’s pussing cos I’ve only just noticed after my shower.. Xx thanks Hun xx

Thats rubbish thought she would have looked :/ .. it does look closed to me hun but looks a little sore.. cover it for a while then check to see if its weeping at all xx

It looks like all my csection wounds did hun , it’s where they knot and cut off the stitch and sometimes the stitch doesn’t disolve fully !
Be careful putting tissue on it incase it is weeping and tissue gets in the wound , cutting a bit of a sanitary towel is better , that’s what I had to put on my section wound !
Hope its ok , making you wait till Tuesday is disgusting aftercare , ESP if it is open xx

I’ve just had a look Hun and it looks closed to me, I got really paranoid about mine around week 4 and 5 but I think just any change in them can be a worry because it is a big thing. I’m surprised they won’t see you sooner when you have a concern. Hope you’re okay xx

Thanks for the feedback girls.. My boyfriend said it looks closed and it’s not weaping, looking at my other pics my left has always had that scab there and it’s prob just come off and like you said @jode8 the stitch hasn’t dissolved properly.. If that’s the case what happens?? I might even just go walk in centre tomorrow just to check.. Last thing I want is an infection when I’m going on holiday in 3weeks time.. Fingers crossed it’s me just being paranoid xx

With mine I went to my doc and he , used a scalpel and removed the stitch for me , it was the tiniest piece ever and within 2 days and a tiny bit of puss it had re healed with no further probs !
Yeah I’d go to a walk in Tomo for piece of mind and if you do need antibiotics (if there’s any infection there ) atleast you can start them straight away and be back too full health for your holiday xx

Argh.. 🙁 I’m such a wuss with stuff like that haha.. Al let yah know how I get on, think I will wait til rues if that’s all it is xx

Well girls, my patient co ordinator rang me today she said it might just be a stitch that hasn’t dissolved proper but obviously can’t say for sure but she said the nurse will have a look Tuesday and if that’s the case she might remove the stitch and put a steri strip on for a few days.. Fingers crossed I’m such a worrier, probably all for nothing haha.. Xx

Just added you to have a look…. one of my incisions opened very slightly I as doing too much very quickly after my op… it was a little bit painful but it healed itself and didn’t bleed it did weep slightly. I did worry a little bit cos it stung and felt different to my other incision but once the strapping was off and I could see it properly it was actually so small… I know how you feel about the worrying thing tho! it always feels worse than it is!
