    Hi all

    I had my op on 23rd June and im totally in love with my new pair, I had 375cc under the muscle with Dr Giannintrapani. however, I have had a few issues with my skin, because it was a large implant for me my skin was very irritated for a couple of weeks I saw the consultant a number of times, and every tie I saw him I told him how dark my incision/scars were compared to other that have uploaded pics, he reassured me they will get lighter but they are still y dark and look very untidy. have any of you ladies experienced this too? do have any advice? as I feel like MYA just fob me off every time I mention it to them 🙁

    Have they been exposed to sun / sunbeds at all? I thought scars went dark like that if they weren’t protected from the sun….?

    Everybody heals differently, scars do fade over time. I would try bio oil etc and just let your body do the work. X

    @alice I didn’t have any exposure to the sun or sun beds, I think these are just getting worse every time I look at them.

    @kayp
    I’ve been waiting patiently and used all the possible scar treatments- it been 5 months now and nothing has changed ????

    Mine are dark too, neat but dark and they’re not hidden 🙁 I’m gutted I wanted my boob to fold over them but I don’t think my boobs are big enough so u can see my scars looking head on, I’m nearly 12 weeks PO!

    Hey ladies you should have a look for dermatix gel /silicone sheets http://www.dermatix.co.uk/ they’re highly recommended by surgeons for scarring. I came across it on the forum realself.com hope that helps!

    Honestly I wouldn’t worry! We all heal differently! This is my second op, first time round it probably took a year or more till the scars were invisible. All scars go invisible eventually, it just takes time. I used bio oil last time so will do the same this time although after several weeks I stopped so not sure it actually did anything really x

    I use pure Shea butter and vitamin E oil, I am 7 weeks post op and healing well. My skin normally doesn’t heal well and I also keloid, my surgeon gave my scar tape which I have to use for another couple of months. So far so good, my incisions are not visible and my scar is more or less invisible.

    Hey hun no problem I’ve heard dermatix really works.
    If ur still unhappy and want another surgeons opinion go to http://www.realself.com

    I get a lot of info from there. Users of the forum post images up with questions and surgeons give answers and feedback. Fx

    I’ve heard bio oil and deep rub massages in the scar area can help clear things up a bit??? If it helps, I think we scrutinise ourselves worse than everyone else and they don’t look as bad as you imagine ????
