I can honestly say I had the best day yesterday at Preston I want to do it all over again! I was really worried about having a GA as I’ve never had one before and was scared for the needle in my hand. My admission time was 11, but arrived really early as there was no traffic so got there just gone 10. I was shown to my room instantaneously. I was told that I would be seen for surgery around 12:30/1. All of the ward staff/anaesthetist/ODP and Dr Traynor made me feel really safe and were so friendly! I was taken to surgery around 12ish and they talked me through everything, they were very quick and painless with the needle! It was actually really exciting being in surgery now that I think about it as weird as that sounds! I was taken back to my room at around 1:15, and then left at around 4:30! Honestly had the best day ever, and barely in any pain now just feels like an arm session at the gym!! Only thing I would advise is you are only allowed 1 chaperone and I brought 2 so one of them had to wait in the waiting room! Oops!! Really happy with the results so far, they are looking a bit coney but happy to see what my end result will be! Xx
