    Hi girls,

I had my op on Friday but my right boob has been swollen ever since, it’s making me paranoid because the left one feels fine, it doesn’t feel sore to touch, infact it’s pretty numb, it’s just very swollen at the top and around the side, do you think it would be worth speaking to the nurse? Or is this completely normal? Also the aches I’ve been getting in the morning are horrific, especially in the right one. Please tell me I’m not alone 🙁 xx

I have been getting awful pain in the morning I can barely breathe it feels like i have a ton of bricks on my chest and i get so stiff.
I am also POD6 and I feel rubbish, I am in so much pain 🙁 I am also completely strapped up so can’t breathe properly. I can’t even tell if I have swelling because I am all strapped up.

You are not alone lovely, I hope you start feeling better soon! I would ring your nurse if it will put you at ease if one is definitely much more swollen than the other xxxx

I think it’s normal for one to be OK to the other. I had the same although mine was painful at the incision site because I had a haematoma.

morning boob is horrible but I have passed that stage now 10dpo. Keep on top of pain relief it really helps get through it. Everyone is different in the pain they feel but if you are concerned call mya and they will help put your mind at ease.

hope it gets better for you soon my lovely xx

Hi Kelsi, im po day 10 today but 6 was my worst it was awful, i saw no improvement from day 1 to 4 then on day 5 i did feel a little better so i was gutted when i got up day 6 and felt like i was back to the beginning, also had a huge difference in size and shape on day 6 that totaly evened up by the next day so please try not to worry about that, this affects us all different and im the 1st to admit i have really struggled with pain and discomfort but i am so much better today!! It’s the first day ive woke up and not had that crushed ribs feeling whilst trying to stand up, i also think i was in so much pain i was carryig myself in a very rigid position and making it worse, i proved this on day 4 when i went out with hubby to the supermarket just for 1 hour, i was alot more relaxed for a few hours after and walking shoulders back instead of hunched up it really helped, i will try and upload pic of size difference for you xxx

Thanks girls! I’m still quite new to this and still have no idea how to tag people.

Evvie I’m so glad it isn’t just me! I’m sure I’m just panicking I’ll keep my eye on it for the next couple of days , my surgeon said I will get swelling for 7-12 days but when it’s just one it makes you very paranoid, I had my strapping took off on Tuesday , it felt amazing to breathe again haha, no one mentioned anything about the swelling so I just presumed it was normal , just doesn’t seem to be going down at the minute . Xx

Gemma, is that what it’s called?? Well I officially hate morning boob! Haha I suppose it can only get better from here!
So sorry to here about the haematoma it must of been awful! How are you feeling now? Xx

Thanks so much for your message I feel more reassured now, I know it’s a process and they’ll heal at different rates. Am I ok to add you? Xx

Ye try not to worry too much lovely, I know it’s hard as I am the same and have anxiety so I make it so much worse!
Hopefully in the next few days we will start to feel less stiff and able to move around more! I hate the mornings so much feeling crushed I cant wait for that to be gone!!!
If you had your strapping off and no one mentioned any swelling I am sure you are ok 🙂 but do check with them if it does make you feel anxious.

Yeah I hope we do! I just want to fast forward a couple of months! Haha!

Gunna keep my eye on it over the weekend and use plenty of ice packs, if it doesn’t get any better I’ll give them a call on Monday 🙂 xx
