Possible slipped out of pocket

Hi girls haven’t been on here in ages. Had ba hmm nearly 7 moths ago finally had a check up a few weeks ago(I won’t go into that) but they think one implant might of slipped out of the pocket…. Has anyone experienced this, if so what happens next. What I think is strange is mya are writing to my drs to get them to do ultra sound to find out, surely it should be mya looking into it, I’ve paid them so why do I get sent to my normal dr xxx

Sorry to hear that Amy. Did you think something was up, I’d imagine it feels pretty weird if they come out of the pocket?!? Not sure about the whole scan thing but yes I would’ve thought you should have been referred to the private hospital where you had the surgery, seems a bit unfair that the NHS have to fund something when MYA have had the money for the op. Hope you get it all sorted xxx

Yeah the 2 feel different ones harder and the implant feels really lumpy like u can really feel the texture of it. So hard to explain, it’s also further off my chest and more into the cleavage than the other. I half thought it was capsular or rippling but apparently not and this is what they think it is. I want it sorting as it makes me so consious and hating them because of it. So frustrating as mya dragging their feet just sending a letter to my drs who I imagine will refuse to scan anyway xx

Hi I have had an implant that slips and when I pressed on one slightly it would slip to the side x horrible feeling. Are they going to fix them? You would think mya would do scan x its a hard time for you but as long as they sort it hun x

Hopefully your doctor will refer you, it would be terrible if they refused. I am very surprised that this is not part of your ‘aftercare’ package, as the surgeon made the packet too big???? Best of luck hun, feel for you xxxx

Schiavone did them and he looked really sorry in the face when he said that’s what he thinks it is (if that makes sense) apparently if that’s what it is he will try pushing it back in if not then reop but who knows if il have to pay. It literally doesn’t move it won’t go in and out its hard and like won’t move more the the centre u can really feel it more in the cleavage than the other. It’s annoying as mya contacting my drs they haven’t I call mya to chase and get no call backs xx

I had re op and didn’t have to pay a penny as this isn’t your fault and things like this happen all the time I sure u will be sorted out x

Still getting now where…. Mya saying they won’t pay for scan, been to my gp who advises nhs won’t do it as I paid private they should sort it. Keep calling mya to get cbs for me to call them back I call them and leave more messages with no response. Left with a sore boob can’t sleep on it, looks and feels totally different to the other one but they won’t do anything about it even though Schiavonne has said that the pocket may of been to big. Waste of money!!!! Frustrated!!!! xx

Not good at all, come on MYA unless we’re missing something this isn’t down to the nhs to sort. You paid them the money and you are surely within you rights to get a scan to discover what is wrong. Have you been to get advice from somewhere, thats probably the route id go to see where you stand xxx

Yeah my other half has said about getting legal advise mya’s answer is its in the t&cs we sign to say scans to covered, I have read through it but can’t find this I’m there just that additional costs may occur should complications develop, but this isn’t even my fault it’s likely to be the surgeons fault and there not even giving me the option to pay for a scan just advising to see my gp, it’s not there problem I didn’t get it don’t on nhs. So annoying!!! xx

I’d say take legal advice and you always have the option of getting a scan yourself. If you are willing to pay for it go for it. Just phone local private hospital and ask for a price and explain what u need. If it is the pocket too big and that’s the surgeons fault then it should be sorted for you and you should be able to claim back scan costs….if u go down legal route. The threat may be enough.
