Post op 1 week check up

Has anyone else found that the worst days for them are after the bandages are replaced at the one week check up appointment with the nurse? I can’t understand why my scars have only just started stinging and my boobs feel tighter than ever! Just want to feel back to normal and I feel like I’m going backwards pain wise. This might be totally normal because the incisions have been pulled a bit from removing the strapping etc but I just want to know I’m not the only one xxxx

i had the same issue at one week with the stinging. The nurse told me the stinging and itching feeling of the scars is the healing process, which went away by week 2. I took clarityn antihistamines which worked like a charm. It’s totally normal what you are feeling, it usually settles down by around the 2 week mark. As long as you don’t have any discharge/bleeding/strange smell or redness, the incisions should be fine. My tightness started easing at around 2 weeks, but still a bit tight as I had unders, not as bad as the first week though.
