Post op advice please!!

Hey girls my op is in two weeks I’m at uni so gonna try my best to get back into lectures asap I’m just wondering how you all managed after your op with day to day things like washing hair, getting dressed etc? Any after care and advice would be great xx

I couldn’t wash my hair I booked in for a blow dry at a salon instead of having to bend over the bath and wash it that way! I left it a week after my op bearing in mind I was sick all in my hair after coming round ?! Getting dressed I found okay I just wore casual button up shirts and leggings the hardest thing was flushing the toilet for me! If you’ve got a push button one you’ve got no chance mine is a handle one so I had to do it with my foot! Saying all this I had a really quick recovery I was shopping and out of the house day after surgery! I think what you will struggle with is carrying your uni bag as I can imagine it’s quiet heavy? Being back at uni would prop so be okay as you will be sat down most of the time? I found I got aches and pains when I stayed in bed the more in was up n was active I didn’t hurt! Sorry I’ve rambled on a bit but hope I’ve helped you out x

Realistically you will need to write off six days, after that everything gets better, you don’t want to damage your new boobies. If you are just sitting then you should be fine, maybe ask someone to help with your bags for a few days.

I was day 6 till I could even get ready and put make up on, I had no energy and I could hardly lift my arms
