Post op appointment

I had my post op appointment today im 7 days post op amd had dressings taken off but scars still open a little so got steri strips on them is this normal ???? Nd nd did tjey feel really tight feel scarrf too move incase I open them even more 🙁 will they feel better in couple of days??? They also still feel very stuck on how long til they feel normal??? Xxx

I would say it is normal Hun. Mine were completely healed at 7 days and the nurses were gob smacked think they are used to seeing what you have described! Had the same issue with my tummy though and had to have it re dresses and then back in a week and when I went back it was all fine. Try not to do much in the next 6/7 days don’t put any strain on them that means get someone to even make your cuppas. You’ll be fine if the nurse was concerned she would have got the surgeon involved even if it was just a phone call to him cxxx

I’m sure its all normal hun, I have healesd nicely but still have to have the steri strips on for a few days. Try not to worry, everyone heals at different rates x

from my first op i had to wait 18 days before my scars where healed enough to warrant a proper shower, so its perfectly normal, we all heal differently xx

Ok thanks hun but I gotta take thoa steri strips off myself on monday but im worried invase thry still wont b healed what would I do then??? My clinic is 2 and a half hours away from me 🙁

pop to your local GP’s if your worried at all, they are there to help 🙂 xx

If they have told u to take them off I’m sure they are confident they will be ok, they had me going back so they obv weren’t confident my would be healed x

I’m 25 days post op and still haven’t had a proper bath or shower! My scars are still slightly open where my nipple was attached to the downward scar, I had uplift with implants, I cannot wait to get my dressings off! It’s only one boob with dressings on now though, just 2 stubborn little bits! Better tHan risking an infection and my nipple falling off though haha! Just bear with it, take the time to heal 🙂

Hey Hun my scars wasn’t healed properly so the nurse put sterile strips on she told me to leave them on for another week then take them off I rang and asked when I could shower she told me that I could now and I got a shower and my husband took them off for me it was alot easier with the water on them Hun xxx

Ok thanks hun im such a wimp lol im sooo scared that they wont b healed nd will risk infection if I take them off. Even tho nurse said they wud be fine xx
