I still had to wear a bra with my strapping, I would order a macom even if its a few days after as it is most definately the most comfortable I’ve got x

I would def order the Macom bra too, it is so comfortable! Marks and Spencer’s also do sports bras that zip up at the front that are really comfy if you can’t get a Macom! The Macom sits lower though so doesn’t bother the incisions and I had to go up a back size in the Marks and Spencer’s bra but you don’t in the Macom!

Every surgeon is diff too, my strapping was quite sufficient the first day had to take it off the following morn and then put bra on x

I had mr kazzazi on Friday and he told me not to buy a macom, he doesn’t like them, he told me to just buy high street sports bras, so I’ve got the m&s zip up high impact. Still got strapping on until Friday and been told I don’t need to wear a bra over it because the strapping is already tight xx

I bought a comfy one from tesco for £6, more comfy than the M&S one x

I’d def order a macom, I wear mine for bed still and I’m 8months po. It was the only thing I cud wear after my op, tried the m&s zip up one and found it too uncomfy and Asda ones were same. I even ordered a second macom and wished I’d not wasted money on all the other cheap ones!
Some surgeons mite say they don’t like them but they aren’t the ones in pain! Xx

Charlie I so agree I ordered another Macon in the end, and was gutted I had wasted money on the other ones x

Tescos isn’t zip up but fastens at the back so you can swivel it round, M&S is zip up, it’s ok in the day but uncomfortable at night – although as my swelling has gone down its better x

@kirsty – I wore my tesco one on nye so 10 days po, I don’t see why you couldn’t wear it straight away, it has adjustable straps so its low enough on your ribs x

Hi hun, my surgeon didn’t like the Macom bras, they are to tight – you want support but for them not to be uncomfortable or restricted.
I had a right panic over bras, like you I was a bit unorganised. Last minute I bought loads, in the end the best ones were the ASDA comfort ones – I’ve lived in them for the past 3 weeks, they have no fastenings but you can just step in to it and pull it up: http://direct.asda.com/george/womens-lingerie/comfort-seamless-bra-black/GEM264608,default,pd.html. Primark and M&S have loads of sports bra’s too but honestly I wouldn’t waste too much money. I spent a fortune and in the end I’ve only wore the £6 ones from ASDA. There good because you don’t need to know cup size of anything like that. I’d maybe just get one that fastens (front or back it doesn’t matter) for the day of your surgery just so it’s easier for them to put on – I changed in to the comfort one as soon as I got home, I could believe how uncomfortable the others I bought were!
    Hope that helps!

    Hiya hun,
I’m a size 6/8 and i had 375 overs from small 32B – I bought the small one in white and black from ASDA and they were fine. The others I bought were a still a 32 back (my sides did swell but not enough for me to need a bigger back size) and I bought DD and E cup size. If your going to buy ones where you need a cup size, I’d say go for a bigger cup size, my surgeon said there is no harm in them being slightly loose but it’s an issue if they are too tight.
Hope that helps, let me know how you get on hun, good luck! =o) xxx
