I am 8DPO and currently wearing the M&S high impact bra. Although it is comfortable it rests on my incisions which isn’t the nicest feeling and have to keep moving it around constantly or undoing it occasionally to give my incisions a break! Just wondering if anyone else knew of a bra that was also comfy but maybe doesnt dig in right under the breasts on the incisions and also one that maybe looks better under clothes as struggling to hide this one.

    Thank you 🙂

    Hi Jessica
I had exactly the same issues. There was no way I could wear the Macom, it was way to tight. The M7S ones were okay at first, but then started to dig in on my incisions and my ribs were really bruised, I felt the tight bra’s were contributing to this problem. after about 7 days I started to have a lot of nerve issues, my skin felt very tingly and my nipples were hyper sensitive and the constant rubbing of the material on my skin was also driving me mad. Here is wahat helped me:
I bought a bra with a wider band width ( I was wearing a 34 before my op, i got a 36) this really helped.
I would sit in bed and unzip my bra just to release the pressure on my scars and skin (be very careful not to move about, have to sit still while bra is undone, zip it up if you are going to get up)
I bought breast pads to put inside my bra to stop the material rubbing against my nipples.

Good luck hun, first few weeks are the toughest, but each day you will get a little bit better. By 4 weeks the incisions are usually healing well and swelling has gone so your bra will fit better.
Ps now I can wear my macom and its perfectly comfortable, so money was not wasted.
