Hi girls, I’ve bought a 2 pack of m&s high impact sports bra’s and an asda padded post surgery bra. The m&s ones are quite soft but tight around my back will these be supportive enough? I’ve seen a lot have the zip up front which looks more bulky and supportive… also how do you know what cup size to buy??

my op is tomorrow and I’ve bought two macoms; they just go off back size as they ‘grow’ with your cup size, i got one in my normal back size and one for swelling so a size up, (32 & 34) i only bought them cause you don’t know for sure the size you will end up but they don’t look or feel the nicest of post-op bras (although loads recommend them)…
i’ve also bought a 34F m&s zip up front one and the asda zip up front one in a 32E, i’ve been told i will come out an E but you really just don’t know. Really now i wish i had just have bought macom’s and then bought others afterwards, but I’ve kept the receipts to take back/exchange when i know my true size… if your not buying a macom personally i would buy a few different sizes to make sure you have one that is right and then take others back when you know which ones you don’t need, ask your surgeon/PC/nurse what sizes or bras you should get if unsure xx

I bought 2 m & s sports bras …one was a size up to wear during swelling and the other was my actual size to wear when swelling went down. Once strapping came off and swelling started to go down I bought an Asda sports bra too because I felt my actual size started to come out. So maybe one larger for during swelling and one for your actual size that you hope to be. Anymore I’d keep receipts just in case as you don’t know properly until strapping comes off and swelling goes down.

Thanks girls, think I may have to get a 34 back but the sizes are confusing as to cup size etc. When I went in m&s she was saying a large band a was equivalent to a 32 c etc. Really boggled me! I’m hoping the asda bra will fit as that’s just a small and then if the others don’t fit I can nip and swap them xx
