So far I’ve just bought a Macom bra for after the surgery. I was going to buy a M&S sports bra but my PC has said she wouldn’t recommend zip front sports bras, so I’ve been looking at the MYA bras but then I’ve seen others that would probs do the same job for less..
Hi Samantha, I’ve pretty much lived in the M&S ones for the last 3 weeks. My surgeon also recommended back fastening. They’ve been great and really supportive. I’m at the stage now where I can wear other non-wired bras for a bit but I always feel much comfier in these. The surgeon put one on me straight away after my op . Would definitely recommend… and working out at just under £15 each they are more than reasonable! Xx
Thanks @clare141! I might give the M&S ones a go then, heard a lot of girls say their Macom isn’t that comfortable so don’t want to just rely on that! What’s the sizing like on the M&S ones? Thanks again x
Hi, I had my op on Friday.
My surgeon recommended a high impact, back fastening with adjustable straps. I got a shock absorber D+ and it’s brilliant. Feel really supported and the nurse who I woke up to in recovery said it’s one of the best she has seen on paitents.
It’s very comfy as the straps and fastener are padded so don’t dig in or rub.
I got it off a site called wiggle and it was £19.99
Hope this helps xx
@samg I’d go a back size bigger than what you’d normally wear. I’m normally a 32 but I’m putting it on the last fastening of a 34… I still seem to have a lot of side boob so this could be why (potentially swelling still but unsure at 3 and a half weeks po!) xxx
