Hey girls, I’m all booked in for surgery in 3 weeks time so im looking for a comfy post op bra. My problem is, most of them come in cup sizes rather than the S, M and L that Macom do. If I don’t know what cup size I’ll be then how do I choose a size??! Confused and help needed please. Also, which brand do people recommend? Thanks 🙂 x
I’ve just bought two post surgery ones from George it was only £15 for the two I’ve seen loads of people recommend them on this forum and they come in S M L xx
I’ve also just bought the Asda ones today and they are really comfy I was reading the reviews and there really good. I was also told by my nurse not to buy a cup sizes one just yet due to swelling and you won’t be a true size, I want a m&s one but going to wait till I’ve had them done. I’m unsure wether to buy a mya or a macom one as there’s a few people always selling them on here. X
@louise79 I have one Macom one, it’s a size medium. I bought it from a girl on this forum and I’ve tried it on… soooo comfy! Not sure how it will be after surgery but the girl I bought it off loved it! X
@chloedoeydee I will definitely look at getting an Asda one then! 🙂 I want an extra bra to wear whilst my other is in the wash, thanks x
I’ve not got my op till Monday but I bought loads of post op bras to try (Mya, Yianna, m&s, Asda, etc), the top runner so far is the Asda one, so comfy and not too expensive! I’ll just have to wait and see how supportive it is x
Yes I had the Asda one and girls they were so comfy after surgery I had 450cc and had a large. I have also bought a m&s sports bra today and as the swelling is slowly going I can feel my boobs needed abit more support and this has been really comfy so far and can feel they have more support which I needed x
@emma-louise-2 is that the m&s high impact sports bra? I’ve heard good things about those too! My sister in law swore by hers. They do look a lot more supportive than the Asda ones but I know the Asda ones are supposed to be really comfy! X
I’ve just ordered the m&s one patterned though it’s got £5 off on line xx
Adele.. yes it is and it states £25 but I ended up paying like £20 something as you don’t pay vat on it due to post surgical I don’t think I would have worn is straight after surgery to be honest but I’m Day 6 and had it yday I found I could cough I wasn’t scared and took the tension off my back as I was tight and out of breath but would 100% recommend it maybe after your surgery when you feel up to it go to your local m&s and see what size helps you .. xx
@emma-louise-2 Thanks, I will definitely look into that m&s one post op then! Just looking at the Asda one online at the min (back in stock today they’d sold out when I looked yesterday!) and I don’t know what size id be? I’m a 34 back but a lot of reviews say they find the Asda ones quite large fitting?? I don’t want to get one too big as it won’t fullfill the job in hand, but one too small may hurt?? Help please? Haha My macom one is a medium and very comfy but all brands run differently size wise x
I got a Large then by day 4 felt like it was getting roomy because swelling was going down … but what size cc are you getting x
@emma-louise-2 I don’t know what cc I’m having until I see my surgeon on Thursday. I’m booked in for surgery a little over 2 weeks after that! It’s going to fly by with there not being much time between the two appointments! X
Well when u know your cc then you can go from there with your size bra and your PC can recommend sizing if you ask xx
@emma-louise-2 okie doke Thankyou xx
