Post op concerns – coping on my own 2 days after BA

Hey everyone. Just wondering how you post op girls got on the first few days after surgery. My boyfriend has got to work so I’ll be at home on my own from day 2 post op until the evenings when he gets home and I’m worried I won’t be able to do anything for myself. How did you feel the first few days post op and could you do basic things like get out of bed on your own and make yourself something to eat etc. Any advice too would be much appreciated!

Hi hun,
I was moveable and able to bend by day 3 but I guess everyone is different. Just keep yourself really upright, as sometimes it hurts to get up on your own if your laying to flat. I had a mountain of pillows behind me haha. Good luck with everything xxx

Hi I managed a little slow walk two days post op to get a little fresh air with hubby and babies. I would make sure he leaves things for you to eat on bench, make sure you sit upright on setti with pillows behind so you don’t need help getting up and just take things slow. I was still quite out of sorts two days post op but managed basic things whilst hubby looked after two babies! X

I did not have anyone helping me at all, but 1 day PO I went to stay with a friend for a few hours and tbh I wish I had just stayed at home. You will be able to move about and walk but although you are not in agony you just feel uncomfortable.

I couldnt do anything for 3 days, everyone is different. X x

I was totally on my own and coped fine. just get your fella to set things out ready for you. readymeals etc in reach, bottled water in reach and just set up on the sofa with the laptop and tv for the day! youll be fine

I’m on my own I’m 1 day post op and can make tea get up go loo etc but I’m camped with my v pillow and water etc trying to relax as much as possible in front of tv xxx

Hey hun, I’m just 1 day post op and I seem to be able to do most things as long as I go slowly. Getting up out of bed is the biggest struggle I think! I also had to get my mum to help me wash this morning haha but just take it easy and you’ll be fine xx

Hi Hun, I Was Really Worried About Being Without Help Not Even For My Self But For My Two Young Children, I Stayed Over The Day Of Surgery Thankgod Because I Did Feel Ruff Once I Had Come Around From The Anaesthetic But Day Two I Could Not Believe The Difference!! I Was Up & Out Walked Around The Shops… Popped Too My Sisters Didn’t Do Much With The Kids Until Day 3 But Really Believe Not Doing Anything Day 1 Really Helped My Recovery, Even Managed A Shallow Bath Everyday Lol… I Never Had Actual Pain Just Struggled With Sleeping & Found It Really Uncomfortable With The Burning Sensation You Get In Your Nipples.. By Day 3 Managed A Hair Wash.. Shave & Was Back Too The Night Feeds & Duties With My Youngest So I’m Sure You Will Be Fine Hun Good Luck xx I Had 425cc & 450cc Partials xx
