Hey everyone you’ve all been so helpful over the past month in the lead up to my op so thought I’d share my op day experience with you all!
I arrived at 8am to the Preston First trust hospital, it was warm clean and immediately every face I encountered was pleasant and smiley. One of my nurses Jane showed me down to my room told me to get comfortable put my gown and sexy pants on. She was lovely.
Then my second nurse who took all my obs came in she made me feel so relaxed and comfortable nothing was too much for these nurses, she told me I’d be second down and she was right.
I had the anethethstist (can’t spell too drugged up) come in and he was ace so funny and light hearted and made me feel so relaxed as I’ve never had an operation before. Dr traynor came in to draw on me confirmed implant size and had a laugh and Joke and said see you after.
I was walking down to theatre at quarter to 11, got on the couch the lovely lady helping the anethethtist (again can’t spell) was talking to me about my kids and so was he, he starting to but some fluids into my canular and was chatting away next thing I remember was coming round back in the room I dropped off in. I got wheeled back to my room, hubby was bought too me.
This is where the nurses really really couldn’t do enough for me they were constantly checking on me every half an hour and couldn’t do enough for me, I was a little sick and I think that was just my reaction, so I couldn’t eat so she gave me something to settle my stomach, she said there is no rush you stay as long as you need, even when I was well and ready to go she still there’s no rush you don’t have to go if you don’t want to.
So don’t worry girls I know it’s easier said than done but with everything most people concentrate on the nagative not the positive so hears a positive for you.
No idea what they look like yet but my hubby says they look good ???? xxxxx
