I have my BA on Tuesday at First Trust Preston with Dr Andrea. I’m having 400hp unders from 32b. I’m nervous about the day obviously but I’m mainly nervous about the pain whilst recovering. I’m scared I’m going to be in complete and utter agony π
Any words of reassurance/encouragement would be very appreciated!
Thank you xx
Hi I’m also in on Tuesday (but not at mya) so whilst I can’t offer you any post op assurance I can just say I’m on the same countdown as you & feeling like Tuesdat is snowballing towards me!!
I have been lucky to be able to talk to someone local to me who has just had hers done and it’s been invaluable to be able to ask a million questions!
My main worry is not liking them. I’m worried about that much more than the pain as I know the pain will go but if I don’t like them, I can’t just whip them out! I’m a buggar for picking fault and I’m really trying to tell myself not to do this!!!
Good luck for Tuesday. X
Hey girls I’m 9dpo, I had 325 hp under and they pain is fine, I would say with the pain killers they give you, you’ll have no issues! I have to be honest I was pooping myself about pain, after, I didn’t even take the pain meds that often, starting from day 1! The main issue is mobility….You really will need someone to help you the first few days. You can’t move your arms or lift a kettle? It doesn’t hurt, you just can’t move. So just arrange for someone to help you after the op, and each day your mobility will get a little better π xx
I had Andrea at first trust on the 10th I was shaking, I felt sick and I almost cancelled but they completely put you at ease and within an hour of being there my nerves had all gone and I was just excited! I truly enjoyed the day. I was expecting agony but recovery was a breeze, barely any pain itβs more achey and uncomfortable! I was out for lunch by day 4 and back at work by day 6!xx
That is what I’ve been told, more the mobility that’s difficult rather than pain. I suppose it’s a feeling you can only explain & understand once you’ve been through it?? Like giving birth, you can tell someone all you want but until they feel it they don’t know how it really feels!! As days get closer, my anxiouness is lowering and my excitement growing. The mother in law still doesn’t know…. might try to get away with that one by not telling her.
Washing my front fasten clothes today and will pack my bag tomorrow.
Fingers crossed I like them once they’re done.
Hi girls! Yes it’s definitely more a mobility issue rather than pain, but like Sarah said it’s hard to explain until you’ve been through it! So if you were just sat there you’re not going to be in any pain, but if you want to lift your arms or pick something up you feel like you spent a straight 24 hour shift in at the gym the day before! π but by day 5 you’ll be on the other side of it and things will get easier every day. All sorts of factors are going to take you on a rollercoaster of emotions in the days after you op, but remember that we are all here to support you. Good luck and keep us updated xxx
Thank you all for your advice, I’ll keep you updated!
Good luck @pinkwishes xx
I just want to say I’m on my 3rd full day since my op and all my worrying was for nothing! So far my recovery has been a breeze.. I don’t want to jinx myself but it’s way way way easier than I anticipated. X
Iβm 4 days post opp and I am so happy with my results so far, the pain is hard at times but itβs worth it ! I had 350cc under he muscle at London Fitzroy with max Marcelino , I Hope you find it easy to deal with stay positive !
Mine was cancelled π
I was supposed to be 7th Nov too
Anaethnetist wouldn’t do it due to family history of anaesthetic reaction. Got appointment with anaethnetist on Tues which my mum has to go to too. New surgery date is 6th March.
I’m not MYA
Glad you’re recovering well x
