Post op – on my own!

Hi Ladies!

I have my BA book in at Droitwitch Spa hospital in Sept!

I will have my mother in law with me on the day of the op (my other half os working away that day!) and then over the weekend he is back… But he’s away again on the Monday for a few days… I was wondering whether I will be OK in the house on my own 3 days post op? Or whether I’m bet staying with my mother on law (all my family live in Essex :)!) until my other halfs back ? I mean… I would make sure everything i needed within easy reach (not too high up etc) Would I be ok?! X

Hi Jackie, I would have thought you should be fine alone as long as you have everything close to hand. Day 3 and 4 are usually the worst painwise though so it depends how you would handle that alone! I spent mine on the sofa with duvet, chocolate and lots of snoozes – barely noticed my bf was even there haha. Maybe have a backup friend at the end of the phone if needed xxx

I can’t speak from experience yet Hun, but as you’ve said as long as everything is at hand, not too high or low, I’m sure you’ll be just fine, as H has said duvet, tv ad chocolate with your painkillers close by I’m sure you’ll be ok!:) xxx

U shud be ok just dont lay down or even recline back slightly coz u mite not be able to sit urself back up again xxx
