Post Op spray tan quick answers please!

Hi lovelies, I’m 6 days post op, seeing nurse tomorrow and back to work Thursday.

I feel shit and so pale and I really want to go for a spray tan this afternoon – do you think I’m okay to do this as long as I keep the scars covered with big plasters on top of the ones that are already there???

I don’t see why not if they are all covered up – maybe you could call your pc to ask?

I know how you feel I hate having no fake tan on will you be okay lifting your arms out and things tho? X

Yeah i can lift my arms to shoulder height and that’s all you usually need to do x

I’d wait, as spray tans need washed off, and the tan can get into your fresh incisions, and cause infection xx

You gotta wait 6 weeks hun for spray tan! You should ask your nurse tomorrow but i wasnt allowed for 6 weeks even though i was healing really well an said id cover them but she said no you have to wait, I manage a beauty salon and spray tanning girls is one of my main roles an being pale for that was a nightmare! I wouldnt reccomend spray tanning for 6 weeks to clients if they ask this question so im glad ive had my ba to actually know what to tell them lol (wasnt taught that at beauty school) ha! if she says no why dont u use fake tan creams or mousse instead xx

tan legs arms an face with fake tan an wash off carefully, like joannabella said it can wash off into your insicians, u could ask tomorrow but i just remembered she said anything like that has to be cleared by the surgeon at 6 week check x

Hey Hun my nurse told me I cud tan at my 1 week check x she sed jst not to tan my scars obviously lol x I use an overnyt tan & wash off nxt morn x I was fine jst had White boobs lol xxx

Your all gonna laugh but I wore fake tan last week when I went out with my mate (2weeks PO) I was originally just tanning my legs because they looked so pale but when i tanned my legs the rest of me looked pale so I literatly needed to do my whole body..anyways I was careful washing it off but hasn’t caused me any problems… Just be really careful with your incisions coz if they are open a bit and any tan gets in your wounds it could definitely go “tits up” ..mine were completely closed so I think that’s why i was ok .. Xx

the beauty therapist had a boob job too and she said it was fine she just made sure the plasters were tight before she did it

seeing the nurse tomorrow so hopefully she doesn’t tell me off!
