POST OP: two questions!!

Hey all. I’m 7 days post op tomorrow and healing well. The only thing I’d like some advice about is when do your boobs stop feeling and looking like huge footballs? When do they stop being so swollen, numb and huge? I’m very happy with my new boobs but just wanna know when they’ll settle. Also, did anyone else get a numb back this late post surgery? I noticed it was numb (around the bit we do our bras up) and I barely felt it when I touched it. I’m assuming it’s because the nerves are so close to the breast region and so inevitably they’ll be affected? Please any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated! X x

I think mine started to look less football like about week 3 but then i got all moany as they seemed to be disappearing on me I think mine have sarted to drop in the last day or so as they feel softer and less hard.
I didnt have the esperience with the mid back at all I would guess the nerve area makes sense but I would contact your nurse and let her know what you are experiencing as they will know if this is a common problem. I found my lower back ached a lot from being sat upright in bed all night.

It takes a full year for your new boobies to be fully settled and soft. Each month leading up to 1 year post op your boobs will gradually get softer and softener settling more and more. At 6months post op my boobs were squidgy and I was able to grab them
Like natural boobs. But they were still firm, by the full year they felt completely apart of me 🙂

I’m currently 3years post op waiting for a re-op next month to go bigger. Can’t wait!’

I think you girls should buy pre op chest bands keeps them in place and helps to settle them and you don’t need to be strapped up n that nasty tape I couldn’t have with out mine x

I agree, it was making me feel sweaty(errr I no lol) that can’t be healthy in aid to recovery xx
