Hi girls, was just wondering whether it is a necessity to spend a lot on a post surgery bra, like the Macoms or the MYA ones or whether the Asda and M&S ones do just as good of a job? Xx

@chelseaw I just put a post up about how SO worth it the Macom ultimate bra is! 100% invest in it, it’s the absolute best

I love the mya bras for the few weeks after op, they are supportive and gentle on the incisions. Asda and yianna ones are also good, but they irritate my incisions at the min xxx

I had 365cc and I got a small , when I first had them done it was far too tight so didn’t end up wearing it I couldn’t breathe was so uncomftable , but now I’m 8 weeks post op I wear it at night as it’s so comfy cos when you lay on your side they don’t move and hurt ! Xxx

Personally I hardly wore mine. I much preferred the Amazon yianna bra but it really is such a personal thing everyone seems to feel so differently. For me the Macom rolled up when I was slumped on the sofa and although it probably was fine, I felt as though it was sitting on my incisions. The longline element to it just was not for me.

Sorry didn’t see a reply. You just buy your back size so I’m a 34. I had 375cc in both & uplift on one side. Honestly it my favourite bra & it having a longer body stops it from digging anywhere. It’s brilliant!

I don’t rate my macom, I was a 32 back pre-op and bought the medium and it just felt too loose. I took it to show the nurse at my 1st check up and she was surprised at how loose it was but said it was fine for night time or for a bit of relief. However when I first wore the M&S one it was so god damn tight that I couldn’t bare it one night! It was fine after a few days (I went up to a 34E for this one) and now my swelling has gone down I wear it in the day time. The YIANNA was brill for me, it’s not quite as supportive as the M&S as it’s lower under the armpits. I got this is a medium and it fits perfect and feels supportive. I’ve also got the ASDA ones as I thought they’d be fine as spares for the sake of £15. I got these in a small, the medium felt too roomy.
Like Grainne said they are all down to each individuals preference. I’m glad I tried the macom because otherwise I’d think I’d missed out! You’re spending a lot of money on your new boobs so make sure you get the right level of support and look after them!x

I got a Macom bra and another one from my sergeon which cost a lot more money than my macom and I found them both so uncomfortable that I ened up with the Asda ones , they are so comfy . I bought a size med and small . I’m in the med now as I’m only 6 days post op . Hope this helps
