Well it’s been nearly a week since my BA and go to see the nurse tomorrow, can’t wait to be told I can shower. I have been having shallow baths and the hubby as washed my hair but it’s not the same as standing under a hot shower is it.
I must admit I found the pain and sickness to be pretty hard to be honest but I can’t believe how much better I’m feeling now and it gets better every day.
I still get a lot of stiffness and feel like my chest is being crushed when I initially wake up on a morning, I’m sleeping upright too, I also have a lot of muscle aches in the middle of my back too. I’m presuming this is normal though just hope it gets better.
I was supposed to return to work today but I’ve called in sick, really don’t think I could even drive there.
How long did other girls wait to drive?
I’ve not looked at my new boobs a lot but what I have seen I love so I’m happy happy happy.

    Hi Gail,
I’m so pleased that you’re starting to feel better now :)!
I am so jealous that you’re going to be able to have a shower soon!!! I’m already feeling gross and I’ve still got until Friday until my post op assessment! I slept on our single sofa for the first few nights and last night was my first night in bed (sat upright), but I sank down a bit… luckily I managed to get away with it and felt fine this morning getting up! I went to my mother in laws last night (just for 45 mins) and… wow, absolutely exhausted me! Felt shattered when I got home!
I’m hoping I’ll be able to drive from next Monday… but we’ll have to wait and see 🙂
So pleased you love your new additions!!! I keep staring at the pictures I’ve taken!! Are you happy with the size you’ve chosen? xx

    Hi Jackie
I wished I’d slept on the Sofa or in the spare room yo be honest, think it would have been more comfortable, we have got a waterbed so isn’t the easiest to get out of when your restricted on movement I can tell ya lol.
    How’s your itchiness?
Its amazing how much this op takes out of you isn’t it, I wouldn’t have believed it .
I am happy with my size, well I think I am,lol.
    Are you happy with yours?
Have you managed to upload any photos yet? Xx

    1hi Gail,

Haha!! I can imagine that a water bead probably isn’t the easiest thing to get out with when you have no upper body strength!!
My itchiness hasn’t been too bad this morning – but it was driving me insane last night!
Yeah – I’m so pleased I left it up to the surgeon the pick the size! I think if I had gone for 450 I would of looked huge… Obv they’re still swollen at the no… But, think they’ll be just right once they’ve settle down :)!
No :(!! I’ve taken lots if pics and I really want to put them on here… But no such luck! I do feel really cautious about taking my sports bra off though… I’m petrified that I’m going to do something to break them! Haha! Xx

When can you lift your arms above your head? Is this just until you can actually do it or do you have to refrain from it in case you do damage?

Hmm, I’m not too sure on this one… I mean – I can pretty much do it now. I did pug my own hair up today without having any pain etc…

I think you’re meant to refrain from doing it until your nurse gives you the all clear though – I think it’s to stop you pulling your incisions. Xx

I’ve just blow dried my hair not properly like with a brush but got to look a little bit decent for my post op assessment tomorrow lol.
Don’t know what I’m going to wear though because I’m so bloated, work so hard to keep my body trim and in shape and an operation can put pounds, inches on almost immediately xx

    Hi Kris
Are you finding it a bit easier though to do day to day stuff?
When are you due back to work?
Are you able to wash your own hair?
Can’t wait to return to some form of normality lol although I did cook tea tonight for the first time, however when I went to get the ice cream out the tub that flipping hurt, lol xx
