Pre-op blood results

Has any1 had to retake a blood test for coaglation? Mine had come back out of the expected guidelines (my blood was taking too long to clot)???? Retaken it & had a call today to say its still out of range but better than before & my surgeon is happy to go ahead with my op but I have to look further into it through my gp..! My op is on Saturday & it’s worried me slightly… Anyone else had this? X

I had abnormal results the day before! And still didn’t know until ten mins before surgery if I could have it as my immune system was too low! But the second one came back fine! I was all marked up and everything just waiting! Which was horrible at the time, but it turned out best as I had no time to get nervous, if ur surgeon is fine with the results trust him, mine wouldn’t do it point blank with my first set of results, which made me annoyed but then I thought about it, and it shows he was not money grabbing or he would of just operated! Xx

things like bein on pill cause blood to thin with is y they ask u to to stop taking it.also a lot of people debt relised that i ur on vitamins specialy vita c this make ur blood thin an not clot as well. but i have platelet condition were i can occasionaly bruse to the extreme for no reason or over bleed for the smallest nik .. ur own gp will be able to diagnose really easy just from some simple tests . but if u been taking vitamins or tanything like that that could be the cause.. hey on plus side least they r willing to do ur op still x

I’m not on the pill or taken any vitamins etc.. It’s really worried me but will c my gp about it.. hopefully it’s nothin to worry about n like u say least I can still have my op!!! 🙂 so cant be too bad i guess dewt the surgeon would risk it! thanks for ur replies girls x

Sorry to hear that hun but its Great to hear they stick to the rules and don’t just do the op to get the money.
I just hope i don’t have any problems cause i have really high blood pressure .

Yeah true! My blood pressure was slightly low too! I think worryin too much makes it worse though! Hope all goes well for u! X
