Pre Op done!! Count down begins ?

Hi girls,

Had my pre op this evening everything went well. No bloods had to be taken thank goodness.

Turns out I’m having partials, when I thought I was having unders … Hmm!

Also I’ve been advised to buy a macom bra, as unsure on what size I’ll be but have ordered 275cc and 300cc and I’m currently a 32A

Do I need to go up in back size?

Count down begins to 22nd March ?

Hi Emma, I had my pre op yesterday and was advised to get a Macom bra. They told me that you keep the back size what you are now as that doesn’t change just the cup size and the bra adjusts to whatever size you will become. It’s so exciting isn’t it?! I’m just online ordering my bras now too ?

Okay brilliant that’s great thanks honey 🙂 I wasn’t sure about having a macom bra but I think I’m going to seen as its been advised. Yeah, I’m definitely starting to get excited now. When’s your op? X

I know, well they are quite expensive especially when they advise you buy 2 but that being said I would rather have the best support and spend a bit extra. I can’t sleep at night, I dream about it and then if I wake up I end up on here reading or on the Instagram page checking all the before and after pictures haha! My op is on the 7th of March in Preston with Dr Mounir so only 10 days to wait… Hopefully it will come round quickly, but I’ve waited years for this so a few days isn’t going to harm me ha! x

Hi Girls I’m normally a 32 back, but I must say at the moment I’m wearing a 36, probably due to swelling x x x

Hi @samantha (guessing this is how we tag?) ? They go through all your medical history with you, weight and height, take photographs and take swabs for MRSA. Advise on post op bra and go through the dos and don’ts pre and post op x

Yeah @Tracy I’ve seen a few people say they are wearing bigger backs. What make bra did you get? I’m hoping I will be ok as I’ve just spent nearly 70 quid on two Macom bras! x

Hi girls. Is it after your pre op that they then get your medical records from your GP, or have they already got them to use at that app?? I’m sure I was told they’d contact my docs after the pre-op, which seems a bit nuts as you’d think they’d want your medical notes there for that one? Xx

I’m a 32 chest, and I bought the small macom bras and they fit me fine, had my op 22/02/16.

I think everyone is different as some girls swell up whilst others don’t after op?

@sarahH yes I signed a document to say they could contact my doctors to release the medical notes at the pre op x

@Lucy, thank you! I thought she’d said that- seems a bit of a crazy way round! My pre op is Tuesday, can’t wait as its another step closer xx
