PRE OP TOMORROW WITH NURSE NEED ADVICE

I am seeing the nurse tomorrow how long is it until you find out the results for swabs and if she is happy for you to go through with the surgery or if she decides you can’t have surgery .im really worried I’m the kind of person to ring up every hour to find out results as it bugs me not to know . Xx

You find out in 4 days if you have a positive result but it’s really rare! It’s so hard to not over worry about everything ain’t it ? I’ve been a nightmare the past 2 weeks ?

What stage are you at and what size you going etc . I’m just so worried will she say in 4 days if I’m ok to have my op as I will keep ringing haha I’m a right pain . X

I was exactly the same I’m a worrier I worry about everything and haye waiting lol I waited 3 days and even though they say if you don’t hear anything then it’s good. They usually only ring if it’s positive. But I contacted my nurse to find out just to be sure I was in the clear lol xx

Just been to my doctors and had blood pressure done that’s normal and got a letter for the nurse to say I’m in good health and I’m not on medication which should go in my favour x

I had my pre op 12 days ago and I’ve not been contacted, should I be worrying? I didn’t know they were supposed to contact you, she didn’t say she was going to or anything. My PC text me 2 days ago and sent me through my personal care plan and I signed it and paid the rest of my deposit. Surely they’d have told me if something was up by now? xx

I never got contacted afterwards and have had surgery- they only contact you if there’s a prob xx

@jess no the nurse won’t contact you unless you had a positive result. But it’s been 12days? So I wouldn’t worry you would have know by now if your results where positive. So that’s good! Xx

Oooh I get you now, I thought by positive you meant good result, but you mean like tested positive to MRSA or whatever. Haha thanks girls xx

Makes me worry all this lol I’m not even scared for the op I’m more scared for nurse opinion and been cancelled etc I could go through the op with a doddle x
