Pre op..what should I expect? Overworrying!

Hi ladies,

I have my pre op next week and would love to know what to expect? I’m assuming it’s with a nurse to check medical history/bloods etc but what exactly happens?

Is there anything that could come back to stop the surgery happening?

I know I’m overworrying because I’ve been waiting for this for so long and now it’s booked and 7 weeks away I’m paranoid something’s guna happen to stop it (stupid I know!) I have no history of anything that I can think of medically that would affect the op but some reassurance would be much appreciated!!! 🙂

Hey so I had my pre op last Monday. It’s with a nurse, she basically just went through my history that I had gone through with my pc.. There was nothing really to worry about with that so I’m not too sure with that one babe..
Then she gave me two swabs to swab under my arm and in my nose (felt very strange) lol then took some bloods..
After this she took some before photos for my records..
That’s basically it to be honest, there’s nothing to worry yourself over babe..
My op is in two weeks, so if I can help with anything just ask ???? Xxx

Have they asked for you GP info/letter from your GP yet?

Honestly babe don’t stress!
I know I’ve signed a letter that requests information from my GP but I’m sure that as there is nothing to worry about with my medical history it’s not going to be sent..
I am so excited, still doesn’t feel real tho.. Hasn’t quite sunk in yet lol..
I’m having a BA and rhinoplasty in the same surgery done by andrea giannitrapani…
Who’s your surgeon, what size you going? Xxx

I haven’t been asked to sign a letter requesting info from my GP yet, does that happen at the pre op?

Oh wow, I’ve seen a few girls who’ve went with giannitrpani and they all look amazing!

I’m with Gary Traynor, he offered 400/425 to hopefully achieve a DD/E..just wish I could see what they’re going to look like!

I took my letter in from my Gp when i went to my pre op so they could have it straight away instead of waiting. xxx

I didn’t have any bloods taken. Did have mrsa swabs and then blood pressure, height and weight. I had to sign something saying I gave them permission to contact my doctor… a couple of days later my gp rang and said my letter was available for collection but it would cost me £13… It’s just to check you’re good to have surgery etc… I’m sure everything will be fine, it’s nothing to worry about x

Yeah my Pc told me to do it so i took it with me in the first place 🙂 I rang my gp and he called me back, i told him what i was having done and that i needed a note to say it was okay. I asked him to confirm medical conditions and what meds i’m on because i have asthma. Took it to my pre op and everything was fine 🙂 i also didnt have bloods taken. Just swabs, height, weight, before pics etc xxx
