Quick smoking query

Hi girls,
Soo I was told I was not aloud to smoke 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after my big day and I have 13 days until the day but today i had a 1/4 of a cig… does anything think there is going to be problem?? Will they know? Apparently they do a test on the day?!? Im freaking out, i am finding it difficult to completely stop. Any comments would be much appreciated. xxxxx

They don’t test u on the day they told me the exact same thing nd wen I looked into it properly I found out its advised u stop smoking 2week b4 nd 2week after just coz u heal a lot quicker if ur a non smoker I’m a smoker nd I’ve got my op in 13days nd I can’t just stop smoking just like that if it was that easy I think everybody wud just stop . Plz don’t worry chick it be fine xxx

I was a very heavy smoker before my op, somehow managed to stop but had a few here and there. They didn’t do any kind of test, so I’m sure you’ll be fine. Just try not to smoke on the day of your op as I’m sure if you walk in smelling of smoke they won’t be happy! xx

Hi I would really try and stop you don’t wana spend all that money just to get an infection I’m a really heavy smoker my first opp was cancelled cuz I smoked within the two weeks so I quit completely then x

Oh my god! I will try and just not smoke then.. What surgeon did you go for Clairelh, Alice and Stacey? How did they know you was smoking, don’t get me wrong I’m not smoking like 10 a day, yesterday was just a 1/4 because i was really mad about something :/ x

I’m having kazzazi on 20 may chicken I read up on it all nd it’s says it’s strongly advise not 2 smoke? Ive cut down loads nd I am trying 2 stop nd on the morning of my op I won’t be having a fag at all. Wen is ur op? Xxx

My op is is on the 20th may… I have now got an electric cig with no nicotine in at all and i only use that if i really have to. xxx

Hi girls, just noticed most of you will have already had your ops by now and just wondering what you did about smoking. Dr mounir said I have to stop now as my appointment is on the 20th June and he will do a blood test to check if I have been! Is this right, do they test you. Have any of you have dr mounir?

I went for my surgeon consultation with Dr. Mounir yesterday, I am booked in for surgery on the 29th Oct and he told me I have to stop smoking immediacy and that he will be testing me to make sure. Would like to know why I have to stop smoking a month before when most people are saying 2 weeks. I haven’t even read of anyone being tested, very confusing ????

I was on holiday for 2 weeks before my op and was smoking and drinking, didn’t affect me at all, changed to an ecig after my op for 3 weeks – now 6 weeks post op and feel fine! Although I’ve cut down smoking so much and use the ecig a lot more but still having a few a day. If anything it’s saved me so much money haha

Just a suggestion but I vape and they had no problem with me doing that it but they said with smoking it prolongs the healing process, so maybe swapping onto some type of vape until 2 weeks after your op would be better that way you can still technically smoke but without the normal toxins? Hi all, I have Dr Mounier and he said he will be testing me for nicotine on the day of my op… I am so stressed, I have 23 days until my op but have been a heavy smoker for years…. I am not going to smoke from now until then but I am super paranoid that I will fail. Does anyone know if Dr Mounier does a test? What happens if the op is cancelled? Do I lose all of my money? So many questions and I am super stressed, looking for a friend! 💗
