* RE-ARRANGED MARCH SURGERY * & WhatsApp group

Hello ladies
I am devastated – my surgery has had to be changed due to Mr Giannas taking some emergency leave. I am unable to change my appointment date to accommodate an alternative date with him as I need 3months notice for annual leave
I have agreed a new date (24th March) which is 2 days after my original date with another surgeon and I have NEVER seen or heard of his name. Mr Hassan Sulaiman – has anyone had surgery done by him? Has anyone else (that’s active in here) had their op rearranged?
Would anyone like to start a WhatsApp group for March/April surgeries?
Really hoping for as much moral support and encouragement as I can get. I’m sure I’m not alone xx

Hello! The exact thing happened to me, I’m still going ahead with it and meeting Dr hassan next week as I want to keep the 24th of March, totally here for support :)x

I had a missed call today, tried to call back but was too late, I was booked in on 24th March with Mr Giannas so assuming I will need to rebook as well. I really hope March 24th is still available with a different surgeon, I have those two weeks off and I know work won’t be supportive if I ask for different times 😫 will we need to go for another surgeon consultation do you think?xx

Yes we do need to go to another consultation if you choose to go ahead with another surgeon because of the legalities etc x the lady I spoke to (Amanda) said you still need the 14 day cooling off period as well so you have to meet with the surgeon 14 days prior to your date so you still have the 2 weeks cooling off period. X

I do hope nothing is seriously wrong and completely get these things happen. It’s just bad luck but when you have geared yourself up for it and done all your research on your surgeon it does hit hard doesn’t it. What day next week do you have your consultation with mr sulaiman? Mines Thursday x

Where are you attending your consultation? Mine was at Birmingham with Mr Giannas, will it be the same do you think for the other surgeons? I’m calling at 8am to see what date I can be booked in and when I can have the other consultation. I agree, I am really sorry for Mr Giannas and I hope everything is okay, but for selfish reasons I am so gutted xx

Mine is London. She said my consultation will be the same place but the surgery will be a different place, just round the corner from my consult I’m sure she said. I’m really struggling to find info about the new surgeon. He’s linked with other clinics but nothing about him for MYA. I wonder if he’s new to them or offering a “locum” service to cover xx

I’m just waiting to hear back on my new dates and to see if my work can accommodate them 😬 I’m not sure who my surgeon will be yet, need to confirm what’s available first. I feel guilty because I am so inflexible now because I’ve already got the time off for the original date xx
