Really gutted and disappointed with MYA ???

I’m more than gutted my op has been canceled the anaesthetic is not happy to go through with it because I’m diabetic and my bloods aren’t as perfect as they would like them to be I cried my eyes out all day yesterday I think I’m more angry at mya thank anything yes I’m aware they have their reasons and it’s for my best interests and safety it doesn’t go on but surely they should have done all these tests and checks before they took my money and let me book dates etc!?? the nurse and pc have said that my surgeon has said to see if they can find another anaesthetist will do it so I’m thinking they can’t be that bad if another one could be willing to do it they’ve had these blood results now for 3 weeks and it’s only now they are telling me they are not going to go through with it my op was the 18th of 6 so just over a week away had hotel booked and everything bought new bras even chucked old ones our as I was told it was all fine I am now really jealous seeing everyone boobies ?? lol

Things like this always seem to happen last minute. Such a shame on all the girls that get their op cancelled. I wasn’t sure if I was going to go ahead with mine even the day before surgery! Because of my medical history but luckily I was ok.

I’ve heard there’s a certain anethasist that’s really strict but there’s anither one mya use that is more leanient so hopefully they will be blue to arrange something for you Hun so you can go ahead xx

I hope you can find someone that will but keep on at them. Make sure you know all of the complications and risks that might occur because of your blood results and offer to sign a document to assure them of your understanding – I would be tempted to go and see your GP for some advice on your bloods as well as they should know the implications. There’s still time! Xx

Oh Josephine ..I’m so sorry to hear this. Definately get a second opinion via doctors if it’s going to help get your surgery sorted …keep my fingers crossed that another anaesthetist will give the go ahead.

Thanks girls I think the only reason they have me was just in case my blood sugars went a little low while I was under but I’m finding it really hard to process it as I was put under a GA last year in July for just over 2 hours and my diabetes was not as good control then as it is now and I was fine I’m so frustrated with it all after the running around back and forth the doctors chasing things up I’m ringing them every day I’m on the case lol my pc and nurse aren’t in clinic today bit ironic as they both said they would ring me today and let me know what’s happening knowing they aren’t going to be in work fingers crossed they find one that will do it xxx

Oh Josephine this is awful. Hopefully the other anethatist will agree. They are very slow in coming to decisions on these things I have my op booked for the 18th and still have no definite answer if they are going ahead because of blood issues ? I would try and claim bk the money for your hotel off them if you loose that too. Good luck hope it all gets sorted for you xx

Clairex why you having problems what is wrong with your bloody I’m seeing the nurse next week and worried I could be enemic x

I need blood thinning injections after surgery surgeon said yes but still no answer from the anethatist. They want blood test on Monday which will be to check the clotting levels and said they will be back for Tuesday. Have you booked your op Gemma? Have you been told yiu are or if you think you may be anemic I would push for a blood test either from them or your gp so you don’t have to do it all last minute. I have seen a few girls have their op cancelled so not hopeful about mine xx

Clairex I have booked my op for the 17th may in Preston with dr Andrea and have payed £ so far paying £ in 2 weeks I’m just worried I am enemic as have been in the past and I always feel tired . I’m at the doctors Monday for a health assesmtn and to get a letter but I’m atheist nurse for pre PoV Tuesday which is the next day . Just wondering if they would cancel if my blood is low xx

Oh I wouldn’t worry then you have plenty of time to get it sorted. I would start eating all the super foods known to boost your levels now. It’s so stressful waiting for the go ahead though isn’t it. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly. I am sure it will ? xx
