Recovery

I have my BA booked for 6th Feb. Just wondering realistically what the recovery is like, I have 2 children with not a lot of help. I have a high pain threshold so I’m hoping my recovery will run smoothly!

I had unders & I found it all ok, the first 4 days you need to really be careful but I think i was lucky – I have a high pain threshold too x

Hey hun, I had my op 3 weeks ago tomorrow. First couple of days were quite uncomfortable but I stopped taking the painkillers after 3 days as I felt ok after that. Couldn’t put any weight on my arms at all for at least the first week, I.e carrying heavy things and I couldn’t even push myself up out of bed on my arms – my boyfriend nicknamed me spaghetti arms!! Couldn’t lift my arms up above my head either. Can put some weight on my arms now but not fully, I.e I still wouldn’t put my full body weight on my arms to get out of the bath! Other than that am pretty much back to normal life, just not lifting anything heavy and no exercise or anything!

Hi Gemma, like Rachel and Kerry, the first few days are worst, I went back to work 4 days PO and I had unders. I am 3 weeks tomorrow and going back to the gym today! Only light cardio on a stationary bike, I still can’t fully put my body weight on my arms but am back to normal. 😉 xx

I had my op yesterday and I’m in alot of pain today, my chest feels really tight and heavy and hurts when I move, hopefully this will get better over the next few days xx

I had overs 3.5 weeks ago and am totally back to normal. First few days are uncomfy but I only took pain killers for first 24 hrs and only then as a precaution. I could put all my weight on my arms again with no pain at all from 2 weeks.
Everyone’s recovery is different tho. Good lucky on your boobie journey!!
