Hi all, I only have three days holiday left to take at work and so was thinking of having my implants done on a Friday and going back to work the following Wednesday, so basically 5 days including the day of the op. I have an office job so mostly on the phone and typing, the only exerting thing I will have to do is open a couple of heavy doors. Does anyone think this is doable or will it put my recovery at risk? I am going to have 265cc overs. X
I think everyone is different with recovery! I was quite uncomfortable day 5 but you may not! If I was you I’d see if you could get a couple more days off so you have atleast a week! I’ve just had to be signed off another week so I have had just over 2 weeks but I am a carer so totally opposite to you! I think a week and you will be all good if its just sitting down! See how you feel is all I can say everyone is different 🙂 good luck xx
I am one day post op, most painful thing so far is getting out of bed! I think if u take plenty of pain killers and really rest on your time off as its office work you should be ok! but no1 can say 100%. and I guess if you find it to hard, u go home maybe x
Thank you for all your advice! I know everyone’s different, I wish it was easier haha. I think if it comes to it I will just need to take a few days off sick but just worried about how work will react seeing as it is cosmetic surgery. Xx
I know me too but it will get easier! And regarding work they will always get funny! My work did I took holiday to have surgery which they knew and I’ve had to have a week signed off and they got shitty with me! No need for it but if you need it off then you need it! Not worth injuring yourself 🙂 xx
Thanks again Emma for sharing. Certainly not worth injuring myself! Preparing myself for when I tell work what I am planning to do. It is not going to be easy! I just hope they don’t get shitty and understand the situation! Oh well my health and happiness is more important! X
I had a ba with nipple lift on the Tuesday and went back to work on Thursday. Everyone is different. I found movement pretty easy and I wasn’t in too much pain.
I’m going back to work after 6 days, office work too however if I don’t feel well enough I’ll just either have unpaid leave or go sick, like you say health is more important, I don’t normally have any sick leave anyway so a couple of days ain’t bad xx
Its totally different for different people everytime!! i had my first ome done on a wed night and went to office job the next monday I was fine just a little stiff..I then had to have a re-op just on my left sode though and had to have a full week due to soreness! first time i hsd no pain but was agony second timw and that was only one side xx
I had a week off but on about day 4 I felt really ill which I think was from the antibiotics/painkillers. I defo needed at least a week off but you may be different x
