Removing sticky stuff from strapping – help pls

Hey ladies,

I removed my strapping yesterday but I cannot for the life of me get the sticky stuff off. I’ve tried baby oil, cooking oil, silicone based lube (my friends idea) and even acetone!
Does anyone have any other tricks that work? x

I was wondering the same thing! I had my strapping off but I’ve had to have some plasters/dressing over my incisions still..
I also have the horrible sticky plaster marks everywhere! I managed to get some off with baby wipes. But most of it has stayed on. Especially on my sides under my arms!

Yes Ella, as soon as i took it off I felt the pressure ease. Love them now.
When did you have yours done? I’m 6 days post op now x

I’m 9 days PO. Had the strapping taken off 5 days PO but the nurse cleaned the wounds and re-dressed them with some gauze/plasters.
I’m supposed to take those off today, but I’m nervous in case it hasn’t scabbed and healed completely! I’ll be unsure of how to ‘re-dress’ them!

I had mine done at Fitzroy with Mr Singh last Wednesday. I’m going on Thursday to see the nurse and see how I am healing but I feel totally fine so hopefully they are healing well x

I’ve used ice to remove sticky stuff before – just rub it over the area for 10-15 seconds until it looses it’s stickiness. Maybe that will help!
