Hey, so got a phone call today to book in my first appointment with the nurse after surgery. It’s ment to be 1week post post right? So she has booked me in for the 3rd of December (12 days after my uplift & implant surgery!!) so my question is if I get strapping after op can my mother in law (she’s a charge nurse) take it off for me?? Don’t want it on for nearly double the time it has to be, I’ve heard it’s itchy & uncomfortable & I guess I’ll be really impatient to see them! Any advice appreciated xx

    What does this garment do?

Improves the end result of your breasts, enhances breast shape. This is worn instead of bandages as the strapping of bandages can cause blisters. The use of the chest band eliminates risks of blisters and sores forming.

How long do I wear it for?

Patients must wear a chest band for 2-4 weeks post cosmetic surgery. You will be discharged in one of these post surgery, however due to the length of time the garment needs to be worn patients often feel that is better to replace the garment.

Not really! I did have a little blister on the side of my left breast when it came off but other than that the support felt fantastic! I actually felt really unsupported without it until I got used to my macom bra. Now I don’t want to give up my macom bra! Lol

Zoe if don’t mind me asking about your breast reduction did you need implants too or did u have enough breast tissue as my friend is H and lost few stone and her breast are down to G and she wants to go for the breast reduction but more to point is it the same as an uplift and how much time did u take off work down pricing too if you don’t mind me asking xx

I was literally just a breast reduction and uplift. I had ridiculous JJ breasts. Feel free to have a look at my pictures.
I was told I needed 2 weeks off work but I actually took 3 as I wasn’t ready to go back at 2 but fortunately my employers were really understanding. The incisions are the same as an uplift. The recovery has been hard, I won’t lie there, I did underestimate it and my recovery has been slow, I’m 8 weeks PO tomorrow and I’m not fully healed yet BUT on the other hand, I’m still thrilled with my results and so so happy. The pricing, without being too particular because I know it isn’t allowed here, it was more than 5.5k but less than 6k.
