Hi, I am 5 ft and a 30G. And I have wanted to have a reduction for as long as I can remember.
I have waited to have kids, and am now considering taking the plunge.

I have read through the forum but am after words of encouragement – and an idea of whether the procedure put anyone off, or the end result makes it worth it? I am terrified of surgery but think ths may be worth it.
And any photos people are willing to share would be great.
Also, from your first appointment how long before you went through with it?

    Thanks for any advice

I had problems with my healing but even with those troubles, if I had to go through them again to feel the way I do now, I would absolutely still do it.
My breast reduction is the next thing I’ve ever done.

I had my first appointment with MYA last May I believe and I had my surgery in the September. Feel free to go through my photos and ask me anything you like.

Hiya, if you have wanted it for a long time then go for it! It’s totally worth it after everything. I’m currently 2 weeks post op and healing really well which is a surprise for me! I’m 18 and went from a 34G to about a 34D/DD I can’t really tell at the moment! But I was absolutely terrified about surgery because I’ve never had anaesthetic before and I’m only 18 so I thought something might go wrong lol but the nurses were lovely they make you feel so comfortable which made me feel a whole lot better beforehand. I literally had my first consultation in April, booked surgery on the 28th April and had my surgery on the 28th may I couldn’t wait to have it done! Its been the best thing I’ve ever done I’m so happy with the result I think I could get away with not wearing a bra lol they’re so perky! Hope you come to a decision x

    Hi Dani,
I had my procedure last Wednesday. I’ve never had any surgery or been ill enough to be laid up for longer than a few days so I was apprehensive! I put things off for 10 years, then I’d had enough of battling the healthcare industry’s stigma of wanting the procedure purely for cosmetic reasons.
My back pain has disappeared completely … I’m over the moon and still can’t comprehend that these pert little boobies belong to my body!
    I went from 30HH to what I think is a 30DD (but I won’t know for a few weeks)
The one thing that helped me make my decision was removing the emotion front he decision and thinking about this purely from the perspective of “is this medically necessary?”
If you’re anything like I was there isn’t an aspect of your life having large breasts doesn’t impact.
Two things they don’t talk about is being prepared for codeine blocking you up completely .. Make sure you get some laxatives ready/prune juice! And to take each day as it comes… I’ve had to learn to do this but you listening to your body is important!
