Rhino advice pleeeease :)

Hi

I have my final consultation this week and then surgery next week… Just wondering what you guys did in your last consultation – did you bring photos or did you just clarify what you wanted? I’m having a hard time saying what i want for my tip as I can’t really envision the front?! Its much easier to talk about the side profile…

Also what did you buy prior to your op or what did you bring on the actual day? Thanks for your help! xxx

Who was your surgeon? What photo did you take? What did you want changed about your nose??

Yeh thats the thing I don’t really want to take in a celebrities photo as my nose and face is going to be different so i don’t really want my surgeon working off that photo! I’d rather just try clarify what I want changed and that be that. I also only want small changes as I don’t want to look massively different. Thank you so much for the advice – I feel like in my last consultation I’m going to have to ask so many questions and make sure I know exactly whats going on otherwise I’ll freak out. Hi I have just had open rhinoplasty with Mr Gonschior. I am only a week post op but feeling good.
He really is great. I had two consults with him just so I was absolutely sure what he was going to do and what I wanted.
I was very thorough in what I wanted exactly and I also downloaded a plastic surgery ap on my phone then printed them off.
So Mr G really knew what I wanted. He was very honest and said he thought it was too small and that he prob couldn’t even go that small because it would of mean taking alot away from my nose which u just cant do.
He really listens and takes on board and even goes over it again on day of op. He said “I know u have told me many times” when I repeated everything I wanted. I would highly recommend and felt very confident in him.
Before surgery one wk pre op I took arnica tabs and also bought a V shaped Pillow which hasnt left my side since 1 day post op.

TO NIKKI Im really sorry to hear your bad experience. Id be so upset to! How come open rhino wasn’t suggested in your consults before?
What exactly is septoplasty? What Surgeon did u have? Thats why I had a 2nd consult as I didnt want to explain everything on the day of op. Its a very scary thing and u dont wanna be suggesting a diff Op. Really hope u get your revision u really deserve to x

Nikki I’m really sorry to hear you don’t like your nose, when was your op?
I had Dr Gonschior and even though I didn’t take any pictures I explained what I wanted and he did a really good job even though the swelling is really annoying as it is making the tip look clowny! But I do think it is a good idea to take morphs of your nose into your consultation I wish I had done that! I agree to not taking any pictures of other people’s noses is it might look good on them but it might not look good on you due to face shape. I think it’s also a good idea for people to not only focus on what they don’t like but also what they do like I said I like the width for example and not to make it too thin!
