rhino questions :o)

Thinking of booking open rhino with dr G in March. I am going on holiday in july with my boyfriend’s parents so obviously want to look my best, but am worrying about the swelling? I know it can be swollen for months and can get worse in the heat! Were going to Greece for 2 weeks so will be really hot! Will my nose swell loads in the heat? Also would I have to keep it out of sunlight? That would be annoying! Thankuuuuuu x

July is too soon to go away I was always told by dr G himself and the nurse to stay out of first sun light for 9 months it’s too risky, he told me a story that a women went on holiday after 5 months and her nose swelled up and stayed like that as it was too soon! Sorry to scare you but I can’t lie, obviously I know some people have gone away after 5 months but literally can’t sunbathe there face always wear factor 50 and a hat, I went away after 9 months and my nose still swelled! If you do go just make sure you’re extra careful xxx

I thought that might be the case! Shame but I would rather wait as I wouldnt want to risk anything goimg wrong. Thanks hun xx

I would also recommend doing it in the winter I had mine done in November, when it’s hot and sticky imagine that horrible cast on you’re face , that’s ok xxx

Hi ladies, sorry for butting in – saw this thread and s**t myself as I’m in for open rhino with Mr G in Feb. I’m going on holiday in May (3m po) to Turkey and to southern France in July (5m po). I emailed my PC though, and she said I should be fine. No sunglasses for 6 weeks though xxx

Totally agree with Rinx. I wore a hat and factor 50 ! Just to be on the safe side- aswel as sunbeds I waited till 9 months and wore a towel over my face x

I am going to totally try and avoid the sun, is it direct sunlight to avoid or heat in general? Not planning on going away this summer but i fly for a living and only to hot places in summer….. New yorks for me i think haha xx
