    Hey Girls/Guys,

So i finally got my rhinoplasty done with Dr G, on day 4 now and i feel pretty good!
However, i am a little confused well more scared about what i can and cannot do in terms of keeping the nose clean! Any tips or suggestions (what to use) Should i be attempting to get rid of all the blood. Plus i’m still using the drip pad (changing it every hour), its more of a safety blanket i feel so exposed with out it and feel more pressure around my nose without it. Is it still safe to wear?

    Thanks xx

I was told to remove my pad once I got home after being discharged as there’s no actual need for it as I didn’t bleed, but whatever you feel comfortable with I guess is best. Have you got anything to put on your nose, I’ve been given antibiotic cream to apply 2-3 times daily on nostrils and scar to prevent it going manky! It’s proper tempting to have a poke around!! I’ve tried to resist pulling dried crusty blood from nostrils but if I’m honest I picked a bit out to make it more comfortable around edge nostrils but not touched up nose I’m scared il do something!!x

    Hey,
I had my nose done by Mr G, on the 28th January, I got told to remove the blanket the next day. I would say remove it and let the air get to it to help the healing.I have lots of dry blood now and time to time when it would drip would use the blanket to clean it gently.

I had some of the stitches out the other day and the nurse told me to leave the dried blood and try and not pick it at all. I haven`t touched my nose the whole time and thats what I was told. I think each person gets told different.

    good luck xx
